It would be cool if SWToR was ported to Xbox One or PlayStation network.

The Inquisitor Assasin Tanks are getting a remake. SinTanks take spiked damage which in hard mode and nightmare ops can be a problem. In some of the newer 55 ops, the SinTank can be taken out with one shot which has caused a backlash against those who play SinTanks . The Sith Warrior Juggarnaut Tanks have become the preferred tank spec because of this. Bioware is adding to the SinTanks to mitigate the damage but taking away some of the self healing the SinTanks do. As I play a SinTank I am looking forward to seeing what the changes will look like. My husband and best friend both play Juggs so the harder ops have not been a problem for us but I would like to be able to tank the hard modes and nightmare ops. With this remake I think the SinTanks will become viable again.

Actually OdanUrr, the Assassin DPS is second to last in DPS. It only beats out the Operative DPS. The Assassin DPS just isn't high enough in comparison to all the classes. This remake will increase your DPS.

On Sunday me and mine went into a PvP arena, two Jugg tanks, a Healer and a Sorc lightning spec against three Assassin DPS and a healer Sorc, we beat the team easy. Assassin DPS just can't hold up.

Didn't you just say only assassin tanks were getting a makeover? Or is the DPS tree also being changed?

The SinTanks will ultimately benefit but some of the powers in the other trees will most likely change due to it. Haven't seen the official patch notes and going solely on the info from the test server, it looks like a few things are changing. For the better I might add. Have to wait for the patch notes to know for sure.

Sooo, I tried this f2p just yesterday for a few hours. First impression wasn't bad - I liked the dark side-y moments on my Bounty Huntress so far: so that one fellow doesn't want to fork over cash to my toon for letting him walk? Too bad! - but I couldn't quite help myself wondering out loud at times:

Why'd they not make a rock-solid SP-KotOR 3 with a fraction of the ressources that went into this?

Not to say I dislike the game, but from what I saw so far, the teams involved could have crafted something wonderful there, rather than pouring cash into the admittedly smoothly done cinematics et al. The game certainly gets a thumbs-up for not having some silly language-barrier in-game unlike some other MMOs.

Having said that, I had a couple further questions:

- I am likely going to mainly fly solo with this, and from what I hear that works for the most part in the base-game. Is the same true of the Makeb-expansion? If I stick around long enough and like what's to come in higher level-ranges, I wouldn't be averse to getting that if that's so

- While I am no fan of the Republic, having the option of being an anti-hero even on their side does sound fairly intriguing. Which of their classes would be the most recommended for that?

It's possible they figured they'd cash in more with an MMO than with a SP game experience. After all, you have the monthly subscriptions plus the cartel market.

- With the proper gear, you can solo most of Makeb's content. You still have a few heroics you need a group for.

- Isn't the anti-hero spot usually reserved for the bounty-hunter/smuggler?:D

I started playing this last week and I'm really enjoying it. I haven't seen any Star Wars-movie, so I'm anything but a fan of that world. However I'm loving the quests (great voice-actors and interesting content). I think it's way better than Guild Wars 2 (which I've played over 130 hours).

They wouldn't have been able to tell eight stories so disparate with a single-player game. They wouldn't have gotten the time and the money, which means that they'd have had to pick a side and severely limit the scope.

For the most part I play it as a single-player or two-player co-op game, but I've got two of each class, one for light/neutral and one for darker. Some of them I play exclusively with hubby. I've had a lot of fun and have learned that XP boosts and rested XP give me enough as a subscriber to concentrate on planet and class quests. With a few side quests and some fun space missions I generally stay just above level, though I've had to learn to accept being killed by bosses rather more often than I like.

The stories reference one another and touch various sides of the same situations enough that I'm enjoying seeing all the angles. I still haven't seen most of the flashpoints and only about a third of the heroics, nor have I finished Makeb with anyone yet. I would have but steam distracted me with Baldur's Gate and KoTOR, which I'm playing for the first time. :P

Well, can't say the murder-blaster has disappointed me thus far on my Bounty Huntress. ^_^

I hugely enjoyed the dark side of things in KotOR I and II, and so far TOR has kept up the pace, as I expressed above. I guess I need to specify that further: do the 'pub classes offer equally lulz-worthy opportunities for resolving situations, double-crossing etc. as Imps do to a point that it might look good on a resumée to join the Sith, or is it at best a matter of kill-all-the-Imp-prisoners, 'giving in to passion' yadayada?

Not exactly what you play an MMO for, is it?

Not meaning to demean that, after all I pretty much play the same way - joined up with one-two people tops to clear heroic qs a couple times thus far - but I certainly could see a mere part of what went into this being funneled into a top-notch SP-game. Someone on this thread mentioned that certain classes' story-content pales in comparison to others and that MMO-class balance conventions can be pointed out for their primary raison d'être. While I can't speak from experience in regards to this, I'll take their word for it.

I could see the Sith, Jedi and "non-force" classes being merged into three separate classes for a SP-game with a wider variety of options each - jetpack-rocketeer armed with a sniper rifle, for one! - and three possible alignments for the course of the campaign rather than a MMO-dichotomy. It does make sense for shady characters of the Smuggler/Bounty Hunter variety to sell out to where the money's at rather than fully commit to either power-bloc. Likewise, not all Jedi/Sith fall in line with the rest of their peers, see Jolee Bindo in KotOR I and Kreia in KotOR II. Or outright defect to the Dark Side/ 'redeem' themselves, etc.

Difficult to realize in a MMO, I know, but less so in a primarily SP-focused game.

Yeah it's funny and even more funny that so many people are complaining about snowballs.

Anyway i just started with Marauder, and i can't decide which skill tree to build. I already know how Rage works since it's pretty similiar to DPS Jagg.

Been thinking of subscribing to SWTOR, but do you instantly get the Galactic Starfighter expansion or do you have to wait til February for it? Read somewhere that one guy subscribed but couldn't access the expansion.

I played it with a couple of friends for a bit, but they got tired of it. I'm wanting to get back into it, however, and made a sith character, haven't gotten very far with her though.

Jedi Covenant is the sith character, and all the other characters that for some reason SWTOR won't let me reactivate are on The Harbinger.

I have a Sith Marauder in Jedi Covenant and a Sith Assassin in The Harbinger
