But zapping everyone you meet is the best part.
I will still zap fools. That's what diplomacy is for.

Ashara's (optional) fall to the dark side should have been the Inquisitor manipulating her into doing morally questionable things for what she viewed as the greater good. She should have been taking slow steady steps towards the dark side without fully realizing it, rationalizing each one of those acts as serving a higher purpose. Finally there should come a moment when the Inquisitor confronted her with all of her 'crimes' and listed all the awful consequences that followed in the wake of some of her actions, taunting her about her fall to the dark side. The realization of how far she'd strayed would trigger self-loathing and despair, and that would be the final hook for the Inquisitor to transform her totally into a Sith. Instead of a fall similar to Jaesa's (pride and anger), Ashara's should have been about manipulating her into a position of utter hopelessness and self-loathing where she'd embrace the dark side after being convinced she'd was already a monster and lost to the light.

Ashara probably would have turned out to be a better character had SWTOR turned out the way Bioware hoped. Originally class & character stories were also supposed to continue with the expansions. That idea was dropped after TOR's rocky first year.
Had class and character stories continued with the expansions, I'd bet on Ashara having a complete (optional) fall to the dark side. As it is, her arc feels sort of incomplete.
Yeah it's unfortunate. It does seem that had they the time, it would've been an amazing turn. Quite likely what Anakin's should've been.
Unlike Jaesa's "instacrazy", I imagine Ashara's fall kind of like Jacen Solo's/Darth Caedus'. Acquiring more and more power and knowledge and becoming a Well Intentioned Extremist before going full dark, convinced she's doing what's necessary the whole time. She might never be the type to lightning someone for giggles but she will lightning someone to achiever her ends. And soon, it goes beyond what's necessary and becomes what's expedient, until she's frying people left and right for "her Empire". For a time she might even delude herself into thinking she can master both light and dark sides like Revan did (and look how that turned out). Headcanon: my inquisitor encourages her to think this way, knowing she'll never make it.
Not only that, she is a teenager to boot. If he can't influence one young padawan, how can he possibly go up against Marr in a power struggle.
The Inquisitor who is one of the strongest force users in the current war, commands Khem, can be called a baby emperor, is on the Dark Council and commends a powerful power base, can't even corrupt one padawan.
It's silly.
Precisely. It infuriates me to no end. Headcanon only gets you so far. At least until the game ends and I can imagine my inquisitor doing whatever he likes.
That's the big reason i've already decided to go light with the class.
Still not a good reason. Light side just doesn't make sense in the context.
You don't
But you will. At least if the two of you are proper Sith.

lol we typed much of the same thing.
I think our ends differ a little. Rather than considering herself a monster forever lost to the light (she kind of already does that), I'd rather she just become perfectly convinced that what she is and does is utterly necessary, and previous restraints actually did more harm than good. She's not sadistic, but she's not sorry either. A true breaking of chains.
Blah blah blah yes it does.

Like while Jaesa herself post chapter 1 is not good, her fall (which does make sense for such a prideful person like Jaesa) and how act 1 was you finding a way to completely break her was amazing and to see the inquisitor to not even be able corrupt Ashara is just bla.
The fact that this could have been fixed if they didn't cut that scene that was finished just makes it worse. Both

Yep. We have discussed it in here before about how LS Sith is essentially just a Sith who just isn't a goddamn moron.

Still haven't played SI yet so i'm not sure what you are talking about. Though I assume that's one of the cases of SWTOR's lul wut LS choices that turn up from time to time.

I don't remember agreeing to that. Besides I get the feeling our definitions of what is and isn't a "goddamn moron" in this context won't match.
Though for the record I tend to think about light side/dark side from a lore perspective, not necessarily always choosing the red triangle option. That being said, most people who roll "light side Sith" do tend to choose all the blue star options- which is still dumb and makes no sense.

I took it to mean that my Inquisitor was so powerful that he wouldn't need them anymore. Since everyone is on the same power level anyway, it could be taken to mean that those that keep their ghosts are weaker because they need the boost to get on the power level of those that got rid of their ghosts. Hurray for game mechanics! XD

Oh I never go full light. As I mentioned before some light side options are hilariously dumb. Like the Alderaan part of the SW storyline. I went dark in the bunker. Then I went light after I got what I wanted.

Only way to kill Inquisitor with ghosts is to pretty much annihilate their body.

SW has alot of war focus tho, more so in chapter 2. SW is more about the overall war effort and the Empire, SI is more about power it self and the mystic side oft he force. Both accomplish their goals in my books, I just prefer SW more for many reasons.

I agree. There was only enough content for 1 act. They needed something else although I feel they wanted to go with the New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi format where you have a win in the first episode, a setback in the second, then a win in the last. But given how slow the pacing of the story is with all the side quests and planetary quests etc I just don't think that format works so well. I have just resubbed after a long time and am playing through the Imperial agent story again. I am shocked at how much more awesome it is without all the clutter of doing other missions.

Except he's not, really. I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record but he really is just a tool being used by one master or another. Everything he does is still about power, just not his own.

Indeed. Playing the long way I forget the start of the story by the time I get to the end.

Even with the x12 XP I still do the Class story, Planet story, and bonus series.
So most planets take about 1-2 hours to complete.
