Skadge, the only companion I refuse to raise affection for.
I only did it to unlock the 10 presence bonus.
That's a horrible excuse. 10+ presence is not worth talking to that pos.
So I was looking at Vitiates codex entry after Ziost.
KotFE spoilers too
Spoiler
You say that like the distinction between those two means anything to anyone anywhere. I'll go ahead and say with confidence that it doesn't. It's not like even Vitiate himself was ever a normal being. He wasn't. Valkorion can be the real deal. Vitaite can be the real deal. I can be the rea...Kephess can be the real deal, and still won't matter because it's the exact same guy that's been dicking around for the last few thousand years.

I can't. OP bosses are not like flashpoint bosses where you can just mess around with health and damage outputs. Some bosses have extremely complex mechanics that require 8 people (Operator X in TfB is one big example)
I'm talking about complete remaking of mechanics to just make them like solo quest enemies with a little thematic spice.
They're seemingly merging the class and planetary stories together. They may do that with 'ops' later on. But not now. The Flashpoint booster for solo mode isn't the same thing as what I'm talking about. And I need to repeat - I'm not saying this will happen this year, or even next year. But maybe at some point, when Bioware feels there's more benefit from players seeing the older ops story on their own time as opposed to going up to max level and hoping to get a group.
Finished Macrobinoculars questline tonight. Damn that last Heroic had us scurrying about and wiping a lot (no dedicated healer, and started off as a 3-man and had to bring a 4th).
But aside from the artificial lengthening of gametime (traveling to planet after planet just... looking at things) and how annoying the puzzles could be, I found this experience to be some of the best in SWTOR for being immersed in a developing story (as vague as it was for the Shroud, so far), and being in interesting setpieces (that highway chase!).
Frankly, in many ways, these two (+ Seeker Droid) questlines, when you ignore the padding and reusing of previous areas, were more fun than Makeb itself.
You know I think I might like DS Female Consular more than I thought I did.
That serenity comes off as disturbing as **** when she's doing her thing and enjoying it.
Ugh, if there is one thing I absolutely hate about playing a neutral jedi/sith character, its the fact I can't buy most lightsabers because they require Light/Dark X. ![]()
I wish they got rid of those stupid restrictions.
Currently working through Hoth on my DS Consular.
"Have you ever seen a mind broken by the force doctor? It's quite horrific."
Jeebus Christ lady.

I'm usually light but some DS options are hard not to choose.
Eh, the DS options for the Consular sound really out of character.

It depends on which ones for me.

Aside from the Smuggler, I dislike most DS dialogue and choices on Republic characters. It always makes them come across as wannabe edgy idiots.

That's always a big problem of BioWare "dark" side options in my opinion. Somehow BioWare is laking the skill to make a reasonable difference between the "good" and the "pragmatic" choice without immediately going all the way to psychotic.
"Hm... I could give this beggar five credits.... OR I COULD KILL HIM, SELL HIS BODYPARTS TO THE NEAREST STRANGERS WHILE I PRETEND IT'S ACTUALLY STEAK AND THEN CACKLE MADLY!"

Not if you're consistent with them.
Turns out "is able to kick a lot of ass" does not neccessarily equal "Model Jedi" or "Not a psychopath".
Besides, the Light Side is boring.
A lot of the Dark Side options are fine in context, any problem you have with them is a problem with Star Wars' black and white morality, which despite KotOR II's best attempts to find false, still exists. Yes, there is a lot of Stupid Evil, but to pretend there isn't even more Lawful Stupid is lulzworthy.

Consular is supposed to be THE model jedi. Its like Yoda turning dark side.
But hey, if you enjoy those choices, who am I to say anything.

That's exactly the point. Besides I'll do anything to get away from that Nadiamance and that North voice.

I just find it really unconvincing story-wise. A character like that should have ended in the sith acadamy, yet became a jedi? And no one realizes they are basically bordering on psychotic sith tier? >_>
Now I can understand a few "pragmatic" DS choices, but that's it. Atleast with the Consular.

Consular's been with the Jedi since childhood.
And most of the DS options happen outside of the public eye or can be defended as an unfortunate neccessity.
The Jedi are pretty consistently **** at their jobs. I mean GG Satele is their Grandmaster.
One of the only dark choices that made sense to me with the Jedi was dumbing a giant rock on the Emperor, stupid ****.

I disagree. My consular is slowly falling to the dark side, falling into her fear of death and her hunger to punish injustice along with her pragmatic thinking. DS options and the dialog fits her like a glove, she won't pick the lolevil options, but they are no better then the lolgood ones either(yes they exist), it's all about finding a balance with your character and pick options that fit.

Like I said, I don't have a problem with pragmatic DS choices.
Its just that there are so few of them and alot of those "hurr hurr Imma rape your mind with the force" kinds of DS choices.
