Yet they forced you to bring her at the act 1 ending because plot.

Oh right, the story demanded you'd take someone with you who wouldn't be dominated by the Emperor's parlor tricks, which also made it annoying because I never use the damn droid.
What!?! Why!? T7 is awesome!!

Which still makes no sense why we could not bring Kira as she already broke his hold. It was just Bioware being too lazy to do different scenes for each companion and they wanted a T-7 beating Vitiate scene to go with Drews shitty Revan book where T-3 was curbstomped by Vitiate.

Technically Kira was supposed to be there for the ending of Act II as well.
And the Dark Temple conveniently gave armor and gear for T7, so it's cool that they force you to use him. He's my R2-D2 side kick anyway. He deserves a hero role.

She can still be mind controlled by Vitiate. She's not powerful enough to resist him, he just can't control her from halfway across the galaxy anymore. The other reason is they needed you to go back and save her for stupid cliche reasons.

Yet Lana and non-froce players can resist him on Ziost. Face it Bread, Bioware did it because they wanted to give T-7 a moment to shine to make up for T-3s curbstomp and being lazy.

I like how you're pretending Ziost wasn't Vitiate trying to get back to the level of power he had before. As for non Force Sensitives being able to resist Vitiate it's for the same reason that non Force Sensitives being able to defeat Valkorion. They are in a story that isn't designed for them. You assume BioWare cared about T3, when it's pretty obvious they didn't.

I like how you didn't defend the writers pet and come on. a T unit gets destroyed by Vitiate, then a new T unit beats Vitiate. What am I supposed to take from that?

I'm currently replaying Agent on Alderaan. Should I pretend to be a noble or a mercenary captain? What do you think?

I pretended to be a merc, makes more sense then a noble coming out of nowhere from my pov.

It's a good point. A noble with the set of skills I have might draw suspicion.

The only issue I have is for some reason you're forced to submit to the Dread Masters. Doesn't make sense you yield to them because nonsithness (because sith characters can tell them to jump off a cliff) but then go no sale to ****** Vitaite. That makes no sense. He's far stronger than they are so wtf?

Different abilities. Vitaite is more powerful but the Dread masters are specialists.

That's only for non-force users. Force users resist the dread Masters (outside gameplay of course since the fear stuff is for mechanics) The fact that the the wrath, consular and SI CAN resist both Vitiate and Dread masters is fine, it's how the force users can't (and they only stop tormenting them because they felt bad) but go on Ziost and they are having no issues where even the writers pet is having issues stopping him getting into her head. Ziost makes no sense as a non-force user, despite the amusing dialog for smuggler.

I returned to TOR after a long break and subscribed to get the 12x story bonus in order to be able to get the Jedi Knight storyline done in a brisk pace.
I thought it was okay, I don't think it deserves all the hate it gets. Okay, sure there are some stupid things in it like the overuse of doomsday devices and perhaps most of your jedi comrades not being the brightest. But I appreciated the basic premise of the story. In the end I think the biggest enemy this game has is being bound to the MMO format. Every time there was some interesting in the story I feel like it being a MMO meant they couldn't for whatever reason go completely through with it.

You're reading it wrong. I've beaten this game as a Sentinel. That was a year ago. I don't like the play style but it's still incredibly easy to play. However, House is talking about the game now, and the game now is not the game it was a year ago. In that area, I can only deal with what people have told me since then, and people have told me that:
Is clearly not true. The idea that an entire class is not playable because it doesn't do as well as another is false. It may not be as OP or as good as it was before, but it's not unplayable.
That's the general idea, unfortunately. Some of them may have lines in the story, but they aren't canonical companions. Think Awakening/ME2/ME3 kind of thing, where they make cameos and such.
Ah alright.
I wouldn't call the class unplayable, but it has definitely suffered.

Goddammit.
And here I was hoping for some more Kira/Elara/Vette/Ashara/Risha/ interactions.
