SW was inspired by Darth Vader. You know what Darth Vader truly was to SIodus? A tool. Being a tool is part of the sith warrior story and if you thought the sith warrior was never going to be a tool despite Bioware outright saying it was the Darth Vader class then you never understood Vader or just wanted a Sin who could use a light saber.
Interesting that you would say this.
I don't disagree of course. I suppose I've just gotten used to expecting more out of Sith. I'm not really impressed by the likes of Vader or Maul anymore. Any Sith who's not like Bane or Sidious, I tend to come down on.
Sin falls apart after act 3 because of the silly filler and Thanaton going really OOC on Coreilla.
I played a sorc. But anyway. Thanaton running away was pretty dumb but the conclusion in the Dark Council chambers more than makes up for it. What was filler otherwise?
Being lead around the nose all of chapter 1 wasn't enough? Chapter 2 starts with you being lead around the nose by Thanaton and you having to react to that. Act 3 has you finally breaking from that (even if you have to get your powerbase delivered on a platter) to become a Dark Council Member.
It was just stupid. Even their ancestor tells the Inquisitor they were stupid.
Being led around in chapter 1 was expected. Chapter two starts with you being led around but as soon as you survive, you're on your own (even Kallig doesn't show up anymore). And I don't know where you get the idea that the powerbase was delivered on a platter. You took over Palladius' cult. Pyron gave you the Silencer. But your biggest acquisition was accomplished by Thanaton's defeat, which yielded the entire Sphere of Ancient Knowledge.
Sure he had some advantages (his ancestor and Moff Pyron) but apart from that the SI worked for his holdings.
