I don't think Marr is particularly interesting. I think that he's portrayed as being generally competent, which is such a sharp reversal from most Imp and Sith characters that pro-Imp players are almost automatically disposed positively toward him.
I also don't see why calling Saresh a 'warmonger' is necessarily a bad thing in this particular context. The Republic is at war with the Sith, who are, y'know, Space Magic Nazis with a waayyyyy longer list of war crimes. The Republic also lost the previous war largely (not wholly, but largely) because its leadership lacked the will to carry it through. Pursuing war with the Sith to the knife, or to unconditional surrender, is a perfectly reasonable policy - maybe even the best policy. Saresh's error with Ziost wasn't that she was prosecuting the war with the Sith, but that she did a very uneven job of it. Trying to direct the campaign from Coruscant and failing to pay attention to the intelligence from assets on the ground was not smart.
The screw ups Saresh has done is massive.
1:What she wants to do if the trooper arrested Rakton is the start of the hatred before Makeb came out
2:Her refusal to launch a full attack on the empire when they where at their weakest to help Makeb shows her incompetence as a leader
3:Refusing to allow Shan to continue the truce to focus on the real enemy because she wants to continue to fight the Empire
4:I don't even need to mention ZIost. It's one of the biggest screw ups by either faction in the game that ended up doing massive damage
There was also Taris and how SHE LEFT the project to die. Saresh is pretty much the Garrosh of TOR.

It's pretty hilarious how she manages to get an agent embedded in the Sith intelligence as second in command only to completely ignore his advice.
"WHAT ARE YOU SAYING KOVACH?! I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE SOUND OF MY ATTACK FORCE! Don't attack? Haha! Good one agent! Suck my lekkus! Attack, Attack, Attack!"
tl;dr: Female class voices are generally better (and this is from a person who loves the male SW)
I disagree. With the exception of female Agent, I like all the male voices better in cases where I've heard enough of the female to judge. Can't stand female SW for example.
I can admit attachment may be coloring my perspective though. For example I initially tried to roll a male agent but once I realized everyone wanted to be Thrawn (inevitable in retrospect) I switched to female. While I didn't mind the male voice at the start, hearing it recently I found it too nasally and annoying. For me the voice is now the character, anything else sounds wrong.
Of course, anything is nasally and annoying if it's competing with Jo Wyatt, so there is that...
Well, since we've gotten on the topic of protagonist voices. Why don't we list our Top 5 favorite?

5. Male Trooper (became a fan of Brian Bloom because I now associate his voice with Jackie Estacado from The Darkness 2. Ironic that it was a recast, which I usually hate)
Saresh is going to regale our Republic characters with a tale she was once told by a good friend of hers; A tale about one Darth Pl-oisonous, whom scoured the galaxy for the secret to immortality and escaping death.
If the first thing we do in Chapter One isn't driving Saresh into a star or black hole, I'm unsubbing.

My only problem with Saresh is that she doesn't take advice of those who actually know how to fight wars. But considering that she had been a slave and saw the Empire's actions on Taris I understand why she hates the imps. And she is relatively harmless compared to some of the genocidal maniacs we see on the empire side

Wanting to give the empire back one of its most dangerous generals for POWs (who took alot of man power, sacrifices and resources to capture in the first dam place), refusing to focus on the true threat after Yavin and giving him a fricken snack on Ziost is not "harmless"

To be honest Taris wasn't really a brilliant achievement for either side. Just a massive, draining slugfest.
The Republic wasted massive ressources and manpower to build and defend a prestige project that they ultimatly lost, while the Empire wasted massive ressources and manpower to conquer said prestige project and all they got for it was a poisonous swamp full of rakghoul.

I'm pretty sure that Czerka would love that place. I bet that you can make quite a buck there with medicin against swamp rash, unethical biological experiments, chemical weapons, body stripping, grave desecration, scavenging and maybe rakghoul safaris.
