Not at the expense of current romances. None of my characters really work with Lana anyway, I just took the flirt options because they were there. Maybe my inquisitor for pure advantage/manipulation.

 

My female agent could definitely have a thing with Theron. Though I still wouldn't want Vector to just be put on a bus.

Gault is shaping up to be one of my favorite companion characters in the game.

That being said there did not need to be a better reason to recruit him. 

 

I was playing the Bounty Hunter as someone who always completes her contracts and doesn't let either personal feelings (or offers of bribes) get in the way of that. 

 

So it was a little bit immersion breaking for her to spare Gault and bring him along. I think it may have played out better had the contract on Gault specified that he was to be brought in frozen in carbonite to some Hutt lord. The Hutt lord then double crosses you, partly out of greed (skipping out on paying you) and partly as a result of Tarro Blood's interference, and throws you in his dungeon. During your inevitable escape you'd end up needing help getting out and would have to free Gault. I think that might have worked better because it would have given you a reason to recruit Gault at that particular time, and the contract on him would have been completed.

Gault is shaping up to be one of my favorite companion characters in the game.

 

I seem to like the alien companions a lot it seems. Vette, Qyzen and now Gault.

I'll be staying up for that, they'll be showcasing gameplay parts of Chapter 3, sharing a Mount link, answering questions, a first reveal of a familiar face.

I finished Bounty Hunter act 1. When it's good it's great (Nar shaddaa, Alderaan) but when it's bad it's really bad (Belsavis)  I enjoyed it, there was more ups than downs and the two companions Mako and Gault are pretty cool even if Mako's backstory it predictable as hell. Not sure where it's going to go now.
