You could say that Dwarves are very committed lol :P

But with the hint of Bianca being alive, a reunion with her and Varric would fit his character better

It could also be an interesting story if Varric thinks Bianca is dead, but moves on with the Inquisitor only to find out that Bianca is still alive.  It puts some tension in the story and adds an interesting twist to Carth Syndrome.

Although, that's still pretty unlikely as a storyline.  Seems more likely that Varric will somehow reunite with Bianca, even if they don't get back together.

I kind of just want to meet Bianca.  She sounds pretty awesome.  She's a dwarf, right?  We have a need of kick ass female dwarfs in the series!  Sigrun (and crazy ass Branka) are getting lonely.

I hope Varric gets a Bianca reunion

I hope I get to murder Bianca behind Varric's back and then take him for myself.

I support this.

I think she's a Dwarf but it's hard to tell from the comic design of her

But I don't think Varric is truly over her considering the crossbow

You people have it all wrong.

The fun in being a Dwarven character is not love.

The fun is charging into battle wielding a sword longer than you are tall and brutally wrecking all that oppose you.

It appears Varric is the best hope for a Dwarven LI.

And the news that THE Bianca is still alive seems to be the biggest hopecrusher since the news that Aveline was unromanceable.

Still better than Carth syndrome.

I had to look what that was up, but yeah, Carth syndrome is pretty bad. Never liked the whole siha thing with Thane.

Ugh.  Carth Syndrome is the worst, but Bioware does love it.  Carth, Sky, Thane, Steve, and Anders (to an extent) all suffer from it.  Varric is dangerously close to Carth Syndrome, which is why I'd love to see a different dwarf.  Male or female.

I agree Carth Syndrome is utter crap. I would rather have another virgin archetype (like Alistair) than another LI who won't shut up about their former wife/husband/lover. <_< I can't believe the writers could actually believe players want to listen to that kind of baggage from the romance pixels. Give them more interesting problems for us to grapple with, like lyrium addiction or some such. ANYTHING besides the ghost of an old LI.

For that reason I also think Varric might be a fail romance, as he already babbles endlessly about Bianca. That's okay from a best friend, but would certainly be tedious from an LI.

A new dwarf companion would be pretty neat, but I somehow doubt we will get that lucky.

You will seduce Varric and he will yell out "Oh Bianca!" in the middle of it.

Shhhhhhh! Don't tempt the writers to add to whatever cruelty they already have planned for us. :(

On the contrary, he steadfastly refuses to discuss Bianca at all.  Though he takes a certain pleasure in teasing everyone with his refusal to tell the story of his crossbow's name.

Now i can picture the PC arguing with their LI because some of their life savings is missing, while their friend's cousin's baby daddy's uncle claims that they saw them talking to a Carta dealer.

For someone who refuses to discuss Bianca, he certainly has a lot to say about her/it. I would have loved to have been able to make that crossbow disappear.

(See? The cruelty of the writers has begun to infect me, and now I want to take revenge on their characters! Fan fiction....muhaha!)

Why would dwarves being a playable race have anything to do with whether or not there should or would be a dwarf LI? Sounds vaguely racist.

I support this. It'd be interesting to see LIs that can only be romantically involved with certain races as long as any pc gets the choice to romance any out of 3-4 companions in a single playthrough. I doubt that the DA team would put that lvl of work in romances though :crying:.

Well, it would be a very relevant problem if we get a Templar companion like Cullen, who would have been taking lyrium for years. I wouldn't mind seeing a little more detail about how the chantry decided to turn all their soldiers into addicts, or if there is any possibilty of curing such an addiction. *shrug*

Still sounds more interesting to me than another poor schmuck with Carth Syndrome.

Agreed.  That would be cool.

Also agreed.  That's too much work to put into the romance sub-quests so it's probably not going to happen.
