I honestly expect no reasonableness to be had on this front, if history is any evidence. People want what they want, and will lament when they don't get it. Nothing wrong with that, so long as they don't start suggesting that they're entitled to romance who and what they want in the game, and that we are bad guys for actively turning off the romance switch for characters who, in their minds, should be sex-able. The idea that not every character in the game will or even should be available to them just doesn't compute, apparently.
I think people are entitled to what they want to the extent that if they don't get it, they don't have buy the game. For example perhaps there is a person out there that doesn't particularly likes DA game in general but does like the romance options. So if it comes to a point to where this person doesn't get the "romance options" that he/she wants, they won't buy the game.
I for example, will wait a few months after DAI comes out to purchase it just so I can make sure the game is offering me what I want. In the end DAI, like any other video game, is a product to be purchased and is driven by what the potential consumer who buys it wants.
That being said, I know BW/EA doesn't care one bit if I buy their game or not, I'm just one person in a tiny demographic. But sooner or later if they keep making a product that doesn't give their core audiecne what it wants in DA Universe then...well...they can always make another ME game.
From what I have seen and heard about DAI, I think they will probably make many, many people happy and those who don't ultimately buy the game because it doesn't offer them what they want won't really amount to too that many anyway.
All we can do is hope.
You are a spoiled brat and should feel bad, and now allow me to explain why, exactly, I feel that way.
1. You are resorting to threatening not to buy dragon age inquisition for no other reason than not getting to stick your characters penis or have their virutal vagina penetrated by a specific character you want. As in, everything else in the game, the story, the characters who you don't plan on romancing, the setting, all of it means less to you than getting to bang.
2. If a person is spending 60 dollars on a third installment to a franchise just because it has a character they want to ****, that is a horrible reason to get into a series. That is a qualification for buying a dating sim, and should not even be a factor in buying a action fantasy rpg. That person should not buy the game if he or she hadn't already been interested in any other factors, period.
3. "Core audience"? I believe the core audience of the game wish to see the resolution of the plot started in DA2, and to expeirnece the world of thedas, not just buying it to bang midgets and grey skinned giants. This whole "But sooner or later if they keep making a product that doesn't give their core audiecne what it wants in DA Universe then...well...they can always make another ME game. " bull**** mentality pisses me off and strikes me as someone yelling "You'll be sorry for this" over not getting some miniscule part of a game package.
You rub me in all the wrong ways, and if people like you don't buy the game, than good riddence to bad rubish.
