Well the qunari as a race are already on my death list finding out what they do to mages just makes the want and need to slaughter them even better in fact i have come up with 2 solutions to the qunari problem

1. Kill all qunari woman and children making sure they cant breed

or

2. sink par vollen beneath the ocean.

I would like to do both.

Nah, I think we'll just kill all the mages. There are fewer of them anyway.

Yes, but since people can still be born mages, we should take care of all people that can give birth to mages, so all the surface dwellers.

Thedas belongs to the dwarves, anyway, right?

I think there is confusion over what Anders complains to Hawke about. Rogue Templars harassed Anders that one time and the Warden Commander settled that (or didn't).

The other people that gave Anders a hard time and took away his cat (his FREAKIN CAT, the MONSTERS!) were..... drum roll... the Grey Wardens! Anders was harassed by Grey Wardens. Then he came to Kirkwall.... and then took a ride on the crazy train.

I realize what happened. Raijen is claiming that Templar oppression/harrassment/whatever is what caused Anders to merge with Justice (in his/her own words, Anders wouldn't do that for "no reason"), when that's flat out untrue. Anders merged with Justice because he supposedly saw the plight of OTHER mages, not himself.

Your right mages are better and as far as I'm concerned NOT being a mage is a birth defect.

I'm nominally pro-mage and this loony is making me want to annul the lot of them.

I don't know... the enthusiasm is catching my attention. If this keeps up I can see joining in and seeing if this thread can become a mob, complete with torches, pitch forks, and abominations.

I'm personally sick of the chantry. If you read the lore, Rivain was pretty much the mage paradise of Thedas, they had an circle tower in wich the mages could exit at any moment, visit their families. The circle was simply an place were mages would learn to control their powers and also learned to talk to spirits, since it's somewhat of an tradition to them become spirit healers. The very few templars in there just stayed to make sure the mages wouldn't learn tainted magic. But then the Circle sends the seekers and discovers what truly happened in there. What the templar order does? They order to slaughter all the mages in there. What an monstruosity. Even when you do everything right they order to kill you, simply because you don't do it their way. Anders might be an pain, but he is right in most points.

I hope we can restore the chantry. They seemed to have a good system.

Enough freedom for the mages not to rebel and kept the common people safe.

Also, I dont keep up to date with the story outside of the games. How did the templars split? Arent they all addicted to lyrium and the chantry has control over all the lyrium on the surface?

There was no freedom for mages and i also don't like the idea of being watched over by lesser beings i mean come on did you hear cullen? "We have divine right over all mages" i never felt an urge to kill someone so much in my life after i heard him say such BS.

well first off kirkwall seems to be a bad place if we want to discuss their freedoms. too many mages going mad. Leads to harsher templars. its all a big mess

But just look at the qunari. They literally chain up the mages. So it could be worse.

The circle in fereldon didnt look completely awful. Before the abominations that is.

Yep, easy pickings.

Just capture some, put demons in them, send them back, watch chaos unfold.

There are so many Mage vs Templar, Chantry vs Circle threads. Why not Dwarves vs. Everyone else?

Well it's not really the Black Chantry anymore if you change all those things about it. The hypothetical Chantry you mention isn't the Andrastian or Imperial Chantry, but something else. Both would have to reform to become it.

It would basically be the Black Chantry just without the Tevinter Government sticking its nose in its business. It would be much closer to the Black than the White in that respect but I have no problem with them both reforming to become something like my hypothetical Chantry.

It would bring an end to this chaos and allow both mages and the mundane focus on the Qunari and Fade threats.

So basically, a completely different chantry.

"No, it's exactly like the kirkwall circle, only theres no templars or knight commander, and the first enchanter is also the viscount."

The world prospered under the rule of mages. Mages are the superior race after all it is only natural that the strong should rule the weak and when that happens everyone benefits from it.

The mundane ruin their own lives in a hopeless pursuit of purpose, trying to gain power, or influence and all you achieve is chaos. The mundane weren't made to be the engineers they were made to the cogs to placed where their better determined was their place and purpose.

Deep down inside all mundane know that it is their natural place to be ruled. You thirst for subjugation, for direction, for serve. You've wasted your lives serving false gods and false prophets. There is but one true god and that god is magic and we are her instrument on this world. Kneel before your betters and we will lead you into a better world free of petty bickering and delusions of freewill.

My Mage Inquisitor will ensure its fall..as well as foiling the Qun and any other tribal/hive minded nonsensical way of living...If he can do so...

My Mage Inquisitor wishes the world to just exist without any nonsensical dogmas where people can mind their own business and be left in peace to pursue their goals as long as they are not harming anyone....

Hope such a thing is possible...

I agree.

They should be struck down...

In the name of the one true god, the Maker, and his bride Andraste.

As for you mage, there are some big bad Templar men that want to talk to you...

What blasphemy is this?

Remind me, which race has inherit resistance to magic and really controls the lyrium trade?

Edit: Oh, and the only nation to not be controlled by the Tevinter Imperium at any point in time?

I love gifs. So so much. Gifs and reaction images can sum up, in very few words or actions, what would normally take whole paragraphs to write. And I truely do not wish to waste my brain on writing whole paragraphs in reponse to your drivel.

Templars are walking meat sacks in armor if they ever fought a mage that could fight like a rogue with up to date hand to hand combat and dual wield training they will loose every time.
