Yeah. It's official, I'm avoiding the old forums. I really don't want to even have to battle with myself to avoid spoilers.

Seems so. Though like any of it, it is probably mixed with old, undeleted entries as well. Regardless, a few developers said to avoid if you don't want to be utterly spoiled by some major plots. Really, the fact that some people have their hands on it makes me nervous. I'm going to be extra careful onto what topics I click on anywhere beyond this forum.AClockworkMelon wrote...
Wait, what? They leaked the ENTIRE codex?!
Ya, I saw that as well. But like you had commented in there, that wasn't so much as a surprise. I pretty much suspected the spoiler just by reading the title.JEBesh wrote...
I missed that one. Scary. I'm going to be avoiding that for sure. I did peek in the Loghain spoiler thread that was brought on from looking through the CC program files, though.
There should be a rally for folks who want to preserve the sanctity of their story-virginity *hides*

Actually, only the Character Creation forums have the spoiler-free tag on them. :3

Though at least we have a separate forum for spoiler discussion when the game is released. I'll probably be receiving my pre-order a few days after release, so I'm thankful for that.

There's at least 2 endings I think
"Little nuances of endings? Sure, with the denumounts I’ve been writing there’s all sorts of variations on how you affected these various areas in the world that you visit. I mean that’s one of the things we try to focus on in terms of how you affected the world, how you affected your followers, what you sort of did. I mean the overall story, sure, you’ve got to deal with the Blight, it’s a heroic story, so the idea is that you are fighting the Blight, but really the story to players is what they get to do personally, how... when dealing with the Kingdom, how do their choices affect who ended up on the throne, or whatever - just as an example, those are the things that the player cares about, right? Whether they were sinister and got to influence events, or are they a hero and how are they treated as a hero, those sorts of things. So yeah, in that respect we’ve got endings galore. In terms of larger, like, the decisions having major major variations? Yes, we’ve got more than one there as well."
And a brief mention of this from an early preview:
"There are multiple very different endings, and the epilogue recognises many of your smaller choices as well, resulting in possibly hundreds of variations on the ending."
Hundreds of endings? Cool, this should keep me busy for the next 10 years. I think I need to go and create some more characters now, because 30 just won't cut the mustard. And where in the heck will there be any time to mod?

I agree. I want to be surprised at least through my first go around with the game. I want to stay within my character and not try to manipulate toward a specific ending.
