Rather than having companions fighting over the PC, can we fight with someone else over an LI just once?
^ This. And should the other person not give up let us kill them!.

Though even better if we had to fight over LI with another companion.
Like there is that pretty elf girl and the Inq. likes her. But so does the mage/elf. So they fight in a duel (maybe even a magical duel). No matter who wins though, the elven girl goes with the man depending on her relationship with the Inq. and his previous choices. Like, even if won but months ago burned a village she'll dump you, no offense

And yes I'd like having my LIs fighting over Quizzy. It's only natural. They want to keep their partner to themselves.

That way the winner wouldn't have to worry for his rival's return if he didn't get it from the first trouncing.

Will satisfy both sides, wanting to fight over an LI and having a love triangle.
Don't hit me.

I am pretty sure I speak for everyone when I say that potential love interests should get jealous and fight over you, I was so disappointed when Alistair didn't show his affection for me by punching Zevran in the nose for hitting on his gal but Alistair didn't even challenge Zevran to one duel for my love, instead he was all like "you gotta choose between me and Zevran" and I was all like "whatevs, you can go be Archdemon chow you virgin".
Hopefully this problem is being rectified in Inquisition.
It should depend on the character.
Not all characters would be jealous and not all would react violently to jealously.

Leliana and Zevran didn't bicker. Merrill and Isabela didn't.Maiden Crowe wrote...

I don't find bickering very meaningful character development, thanks.
Really? I thought that was pretty much all they did in the party banter?
I think that the characters have enough self-esteem to realize that their partner (the protagonist) is not their personal property, and if their partner is having sex with other people that doesn't have anything to do with the amount of love or respect in the relationship.Chanda wrote...

The real problem in DA is that this is all typically done with an air of dishonesty. There isn't really a chance to have that sit down and let's have a poly relationship talk (although I will say that the Morrigan and MWarden talk comes close in DA:O).
That said, I've always thought that this was the deal between Hawke and Isabela.

Shocking as it may be for you, it is possible to have a non-monogamous relationship and be quite happy. It's just difficult because there can be lots of other feelings that get in the way - like competitiveness.

I don't see either Isabela or Zevran as monogamous types.
