He's definitely better replacement character than Legion VI.

I will stick up for the Legion VI.

The Legion VI I think gives you a better look into the geth then Legion does. Playing with the legion VI, you get the impression that the geth will ALWAYS take the easiest path when threatened whereas with Legion, it expresses disappointment/remorse that the geth ran back to the reapers when threatened.

People say that the rannoch arc is tilted against the quarians but I think this is only true with Legion. If it's a case of the legion VI versus Shala Raan, Raan and by extension the quarians comes off way more sympathetic than the VI.

Yeah, He's argueably one of the better designed stand-in characters, way better, then Jacob's, Grunt's and legion's subsitutes, though he does end up peforming the exact same role, in almost the exact same manner. with a few notable exceptions, the progression and context of the narrative will not be altered by a character's absence.

Well everyone, you convinced me... I did it. I completed the suicide mission an hour ago and had him eat the rocket. I had a horrible feeling in my gut, but I got over it. Thanks for the input.

The vents, yes? Kind of an uncermonious end to a great character. Face down in the dirt and Sheppard basically just says "Mordin!" and then walks away.

A better death would have been him dying while escorting the Normandy crew. He'd have to be unloyal though.

No way was I skipping that mission, so he was loyal. Which meant I had to get a loyal him killed, much tougher. I guess I could have made him yhe fire team leader of the second squad during the biotic bubble part so that he would give the "tell them I held the line" part, but I didn't like that idea for 2 reasons. One, why in the blue hell would Shepard pick Mordin for that? For the vents you do need a "tech expert" which Mordin is, so that error in judgement at least makes sense and doesn't make Shepard look totally stupid. And for two I wasn't totally sure that him being a team leader wouldn't go others killed too. The vents were the only way that made a certain amount of sense.
