I think it's a rather boring option if Warriors are getting a 3rd talent tree.

And dual wielding is kind of silly, anyway. Particularly if it's with two full size weapons.

I want to dual wield two shields.

That specialization is called "Turtle".

Hm, I was planning a sword and shield warrior but if DW is available I might reconsider.

Guys, why are you assuming that DW is back based on a fan created image?

You're acting like fan speculation is the same as developer confirmation.

Because the fan is supposedly reproducing something they saw at PAX? Supposedly anyway...

Uh not sure I would get my hopes up just yet about Dual Wielding warriors returning because you may be disappointed, the last I heard was that during pax some of the devs said it's likely going to remain a rogue only thing, and then back in December Laidlaw said it's prognosis wasn't to good, though there hasn't been much word on it since then so it could've changed, but who knows.

Mike Laidlaw
@ByarruM We're looking at it, but I wouldn't say the prognosis is great at the moment. It's a hotly requested feature, though, so, in time.

She could've messed up for all we know, or mistakened it for 2 handed warrior for all we know, or we can actually use our shields now or something, there's a lot of possibilities but I guess we'll find out at somepoint.

I loved it when my elf warrior Dual-wielded Dal'thanu war axes, I can't wait to do that again.

never trust anything not said by a dev, and take what they say with a grain a salt. that being said I'ld love for dual wielding warriors to return, if they are stuck with only daggers.

I wish a dev would just come in here and crush my dream flat rather than let this thread playout :(

Yeah, classes look roughly the same as DA2 in that last trailer.

edit: It could be that he's mistaking that Rogue armor as a warrior? It still uses the same Inquisitor helm, so it's hard to tell.

Sadly you are right :) Guess the DA2 backlash was so big some things got unheard because of the huge reaction. At least i hope for DA 4, bioware notice us.

I wish we could play once again as a DW warrior, but it is very unlikely

EDIT: Oh crap, the image on the page 1 is false? damn it :( :crying:  I'll stick to mages and rogues then.

There was that recent bit of concept art with a Dwarf Inquisitor dual-wielding axes, but he may have been a rogue (he didn't look very heavily armored). Either way, it seems like some sort of dual wielding will be possible, and it likely won't be limited to daggers -- if we can go off the new concept art, at least.

Duel wielding a couple of short axes as a dwarf would be pretty sweet!

Couple of long axes will be badass.

If Masked Empire is any indication, warriors will be able to dual-wield, at least a longer and a shorter blade. Otherwise Ser Michel would be lore-breaking ;-) But I don't want to get my hopes up too early.

hope so, loved it in DA:O and missed it in DA2, though I understand why they decided to remove it.

Polearms are restricted to Mages in the form of staves (and yes, they do have a pointy spear end a la Dragon Age 2 again, check the gameplay trailer)

I hope dual-wielding is back for warriors.

I want to make Cassandra a dual-wielder like in Dawn of the Seeker. :)

Just removing all weapon restrictions would be the ideal here.
