At last, I have completed all the platinum waves and subsequently all the silver challenges in the game. Yep, every one of them at least once, I'm that dedicated... or I have serious OCD.

My manifest is complete, my Operatives can share the 8 millions I've gathered as a retirement fund. I can move on! Now the hardest part will be uninstalling this game. On the plus side, no more geth BS... On the downside, no more space lasers and biotic explosions... This is gonna be hard.

Thanks to all I've played with!

So long BSN (at least until I relapse), and stay classy

I know isn't it. Admit it, my post is the highlight of your day.

The thing is, I mostly play with two regular buddies who are moving on too. I just don't have it in me to play a gold pug that will take me all my consumables and 30 minutes. I bought several games during the last steam sales and I'm really looking forward to playing them. I just needed to finish my Mass Effect 3 MP bucket list.

Congrats! I still have Plat solo, but no will (or skill) to do it.

Also, sorry to see you go!

Yeah man, playing with you was always a blast, but I must move on, you know how that is ^_^ I bought like 7 games and 1 DLC during the last steam sales, and only played one... With what's coming in the next few months, I must play some. I mean, I bought Deus Ex HR last november and only played it in April because of my semi addiction to ME3...

I thought that as well, until I actually tried. I brought my best kit, read a bit on wave composition and decided to give it a try. Got it on my second attempt as the 1st one ended promptly on wave 1 when a phantom gutted me. Really, it all boils down to objective waves. If you are patient enough and know what enemies you'll fight on a given wave you should be good to go.
edit: the few games we played together were nice. Too bad my mic doesn't work with ME3 for some reason.

Congrats - very cool story.

I'm on the same quest with 24 silver challenges (plat maps & various 200w kits) & 14 UR upgrades to go, but keep getting side-tracked by playing my favorites. Like Shinobu, I don't really see myself completing a Plat solo so I'll likely be one short in the end, but it's been a great ride so far.

Congrats again - hope you relapse soon.

Thanks for the pep talk! I'll have to buckle down and try at some point. It was great playing with you. Have fun with your new games and hope to see you around the forums!

I'll probably lurk around. There are some nice videos in here. Great for lunch breaks.

Congrats!

Not-So-Funny Side Note: Get Saints Row IV. And every time you're about to relapse, use the Dubstep Gun. Or punch some people in the nuts. It works.

Congrats OP. For me, it's just impossible to totally quit this game. If I stop with MP I make a new game in SP, then again on MP. I was really really tempted to buy the game for PC now that it's 10€, but there is something really strong that keeps me away from it: The Manifest.

Well, I uninstalled both ME3 and Origin. The temptation would have been there if I had kept it on my HDD. Now that it's gone if I want to relapse, I actually have to reinstal 2 softwares plus patches, plus DLC. That alone quenches the thirst. Plus I want to go back to SP at some point, but I don't want the franchise to become stale, so I'll let the rush of playing build up, then I'll come back to it. I also have to do a vanguard playthough on ME2... but also games I've bought and never played to beat before.

I have been playing Bastion today, and that's refreshing to actually discover new game mechanics and all. Not that I know everything there is to know about ME3, but I do have a pretty good grasp of the game, so it became more of a routine. The fun was there, but not the "passion".

I'll probably reinstall it, but to play SP. I don't find pugging very fun to be honest. Most of the dudes I played with were cheap bastards who were looking for a quick buck. Not my definition of fun.

I sure hope I'm stronger than that, I have 2 fallout games to play through and torchlight 2 with friends...

You haven't played through 2 of the Fallout games yet? Ok then I give you 2 months.

No, and I've heard good things about both, and I have both GOTY editions, so yeah, that'll take some time.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas? Yeah the DLC doesn't take too long on 3 (well maybe in hillbilly hell) and New Vegas is a bit longer for DLC but its main story doesn't take all that long.
