I picked up Dragon Age II a year or so ago for like $5 off of Amazon and have been thinking of starting it soon. I'd like to have all of the DLC before I start. I picked up the big, free promotional DLC give-away pack that BioWare generously gave away several months ago that seemed to have most of the DA & DA2 promotional content included. I've noticed that the DA2 Signature Edition promotional content, as well as Ser Isaac's Armor, a Deep Space 2 promotional item, were not included in this give away set. I have the manual install files for these but I'm not certain they'll work. Does anyone have any idea if these items still require authorization since the big promotional DLC give-away?

Also, I've read/heard that DA2  didn't sell well enough to be re-released as any sort of Ultimate Edition that included all of the DLC. So, if I want The Exiled Prince, Legacy, Mark of the Assassin and both All-Class Item Packs, it'll cost me $37 at last count. Has BioWare ever offered any sort of package/specials on these? I'd really like to sort of make my own Ultimate Edition and might've paid $37 a few years ago (and I still may) but that seems like a whole lot of money for a few DLC packages for a two year-old game. I'm hoping they may sometimes offer these for sale or something.

I don't know if there will be a sale in the near future; one might occur with the transition to PS4/XBox One, but that's a guess.

That said, I wouldn't get the item packs in addition to the story DLCs. Legacy, MOTA and the Exiled Prince all have good gear in them; with all the free promotional gear in Act 1, you can keep Hawke pretty well-stocked in good equipment throughout the game if you hold off on the story DLCs until Act 2 and 3. The item packs willl lead to equipment overload - you'll have too much crap.

If you're really set on the packs, I would at most get one. Two is just redundant.

That may be what I do then. I have the PC version and don't use consoles so I'm not certain it would matter what they did after they PS4/XBox One launch, unless they include the PC DLC too. I'll keep an eye out closer to that time.

Anyone have any idea if the Signature Edition items or Ser Isaac's Armor will work on PC if manually installed?

I dunno. I'm on XBox 360.
