I wonder how it will work. I mean it's a whole different mindset, especially for the new players.

Maybe it comes with a "raised by humans" background.

I can only see it working as a Tal'Vashoth, honestly.   An actual follower of the Qun just wouldn't work on so many levels.

Just go with it people. Just go with it. ;)

How would that even work? I love the ability to have many different races mind you but this is starting to sound weird now o.o; I'd hate for it to be shoehorned in as fan service

No questions, just go with it.

Now, Bioware,  I had better be able to make a manQunari that is just as jacked as Iron Bull.  B)

I dunno. I'd just rather not have them if they are just going to be a human with a Qunari model.

I dont want BIoware to think of this as being all "never satisfied" thing mind you, I love the Qunari, the favorite thing about the entire world IMO, but the first time playing them I'd really want it to be done right, instead of being all "samey" as all other races.

I seriously doubt their going to do that. If they made this decision they did so knowing full well that players would expect to be playing a Kossith, not just a model. In Origins unique cultural outlooks and perspectives were represented in dialog choices. Safe to assume Inquisition will also allow us to play a Kossith as we expect them to be, e.g. with a very definitive outlook on the rest of Thedas based on his/her Origins in Par Vollen or other Qunari places.

Ooh, just reminded, from a conversation with the devs yesterday, use of streaming technology (from forza's work on the engine) to allow huge areas without the loading screens, unlike earlier games that used small, contained areas

Oh blast it. Now I'm going to have to re-plan which of my DAO-DA2 gamelines go into DAI. *flounders for her notebook*

'Tis a good problem to have. Hee!

My question is the voice.
Will a Qunari/kossith have the same voice as a human/elf?

engine allows for more models to be loaded at once, allowing more specialized models instead our matching ones with scaling etc (cough da:I'd alternate races cough)

Not to be THAT guy, but this has me wondering who/what/and how the romances are and will work.

No, it's valid even if the romance topic has been beat to death. This raises some interesting questions about how a Kossith Inquisitor will interact with the other races, especially given that the Kossith are so very, very unique in their origins and outlook, even if they are Qunari or not.

Considering what went on between Sten and Shale I am quite confident Bioware will go there. There is some  stuff Sten said to Morrigan about um sex which may raise some questions though.

I was wondering more about how the models would- err...line up and such. Perhaps they'll try something different for the romances this time? If the Iron Bull is actually a Kossith companion, perhaps your Kossith Inquistor can romance them? Similarly your dwarf could romance Varric, your elves could romance human and elven companions.

Not sure if that's making sense or even all that smart cost wise, but its interesting to wonder about.

Oh! And also queue the absolute flood of "it's not qunari it's kossith" pedantry. Coming to a thread near you.

Honestly, that's really doubtful. My guess is we'll see them use the character voice method from The Old Republic, i.e. each unique and reflective of that race. Dwarves sounding Canadian, Humans sounding English, Elves Sounding Welsh, Qunari sounding American or middle ground accent.

Interesting, drive mechanics, luring enemies our, poisoning Wells, for easier combat later.

Also companion armor and weapon choices.

The concept art of the female Qunari Inquisitor definitely had horns. They were smaller than the male counterpart, but that's always been true according to lore.

I'm going to say yes, we will have horns.

I was so sure I was going to be an elf rogue...

Now I need to know who the rest of our companions are. And who the LI's will be... and what classes Quanri can be, and if they are voiced differently...
ahhh I have no idea what I'm going to be anymore :crying:
