So, are we talking about just a member of the horned, grey giants (because Gaider doesn't like "kossith") that compose the majority of the Qun or a follower of the Qun?
If it's the latter, won't that make for a game much too different from those of the other races? For instance, we shouldn't be able to name our PC beyond "Sten" or "Arvaraad" and romances should not be an option beause they are not demands of the Qun.

They mean the race.
I doubt they would troll us like that.

And anyway, being a follower of the Qun would be a wretched thing, and does not lend itself to the story or gameplay.

Did they confirm that they mean the race anywhere?
Because I think it'd be far more interesting to play a Qunari over just a grey giant that will, basically, act the same as the humans, elves or dwarves.

They meant the race. Check the Twitter link. Cameron confirmed the 'race' and he's uploaded gameplay pictures of the Kossith Inqusitor in action.

Even tal vashoth are still technically Qunari (if I have this right) because qunari are all who are involved with or affected by Qunari society and all the "horned people" are Qunari aswell.

Race, not religion. Have pics, probably very blurry, will get to uploading some when I can. Also have some pics of tactical view and some other things, hopefully some will be clean enough to post.

Added the Tweet links on the Foward page (always prove problematic for me), but Cameron Lee has been live tweeting the revela panel for the last 20 minutes or so. Check Twitter for details.

I'm not really sure I'm all that keen on the idea. The qunari have a very ... alien mindset, even amongst their rebels. If they're just going to be grey-skinned humans who say "bas" from time to time, count me out.

Damn, I don't know what happened but we went from being restricted to one race to having more options than in DAO.

Can conquer keeps, involving long term siege tactics, station troops and customize it once you own it.

Not sure about the keep mechanic. Feels a bit RTSey. Or something. Not big on the larger scale managerial stuff. More interested in managing a party.

Also regarding tactical view, huge decoupling of close cam and tactical cam which is nice, close cam has a specialized HUD which is more effective in that view, while tactical view is everything we wanted from it (Origins), from the looks of it. Very nice, DA 2 drove me mad with how they half assed both views in one and thus neither was very good (IMO anyway :)).

I wouldn't be surprised if they're taking some inspiration from Assassin's Creed. Revelations introduced the same kind of over-the-shoulder RTS stuff.

Is the tactical view centered on the character you're controlling?

XCOM made it work, so I'm hoping Bioware can too. If it works out it can really improve the feeling of large scale decisions and having a high impact on the world.

That sort of how I feel. You can take them out of the system but taking the system out of them is another matter and its not like they can assimilate into some hamlet well. Even the idea of a Tal-Vashoth settlement somewhere seems weird since it really seems like there shouldn't be many lady Qunari outside the mainland with their system. Oh well hopefully it works out well enough.

Potential influences I am curious about are Witcher 2, Skyrim, and curious also if they can discuss influences they looked at for the strategical half (the keep stuff).

An actual follower of the Qun just wouldn't work on so many levels.

Why wouldn't a follower of the Qun work?

I suspect the Qunari don't want the Veil to tear open and demons to overwhelm the land.

The system sounds very much like an order giving control thing rather than the point & click combat we are used to on PC.

I have to admit, I didn't care that dwarves and elves are a playable race, but Qunari!! I'm going to have to play one of those.

I suppose, after all it's not like there needs to be a lot of them since we only need one.

They said that they're "bringing it back" in the gametrailers video. I assume that means point and click combat.
