Kossith will not be used as a technicall term for the horny people by devs. Just a heads up.

They said that they're "bringing it back" in the gametrailers video. I assume that means point and click combat.
The IGN description reads like it is more like the X06 ME1 gameplay video. Again, I'm sure we'll see as time goes on, but I remain skeptical about this one part of DA.

If anyone has questions they want me to try and ask over the next few days, tell me and I will try.

Kotaku, GameInformer, and GameTrailers have confirmed that the point and click combat is indeed back in the game as an option. Once the demo video shows up (which I think someone already posted) we'll see for ourselves. With everything riding on this, and Mike repeatedly saying "We won't show something until it's confirmed" I doubt they'd show it and not have it later. Those days seem to gone for BioWare games (thank god)

Gonna skip the xcom panel for the next two bioware panels including the foray one is on the combat. Will continue to post anything I think you guys might be interested in.
I have a question, when you were watching the demo, did you hear what any of the characters sounded like? Was Brian Bloom doing the voice for Varric? Was the PC voiced, if so was he voiced by a recognisable VA?

An actual follower of the Qun just wouldn't work on so many levels.
I suspect the Qunari don't want the Veil to tear open and demons to overwhelm the land.
Well, You would have to forget about having romances. You couldn't play as a mage unless they are also going to add in your handler. Not to mention they would have to change nearly all of the player dialog just to have the perspective of a religious zealot. You would really only ever be able to use the sword you start out with.
Yeah, too many things I think would just make it a pain to implement. Who knows, though... maybe they will.

Its quite possible there are different types based on hairstyles. like the zabrek in SwTOR.

The PC would become a traitor to the Qun by joining the Inquisition, so the best way to handle it would probably be have groups of Qunari come after you with the intent of killing or taking you back for reeducation. In the face of that, you could either turn your back on the Qun and become Tal'vashoth, or stay true to your ideals even if you can't go back to your people.Navasha wrote...

Wow. Frostbite 3 must allow Bioware to get ahead of schedule on practically everything to allow something like this. Amazing. Not a single negative thing has come out about this game yet.
I don't mean to dampen the mood because I agree with you -- I'm REALLY looking forward to this game. But...
One thing that the switch to the Fb3 means is that there is virtually no chance of a toolset, and modding will probably be very difficult or impossible. Since BioWare doesn't own the rights to Fb3, even if their design tools were user-friendly enough to release, they couldn't do it if they wanted to. It'd violate the license agreement to provide people tools to monkey around with the back end of DICE's creation.

Frostbite 3 is apparently a pretty complicated engine. Plus, since BioWare doesn't own the rights to Fb3, even if any of the design tools they made for internal use were user-friendly enough to release, they couldn't do it if they wanted to. It'd violate the license agreement to provide people tools to monkey around with the back end of DICE's creation.
This is wrong, but for the right reasons.
EA owns DICE and, hence, the Frostbite engine. That is not the issue.
Bioware uses other tools (the engine is just the stage where the game is created, but the tools are what bring the scene to life) that are developed by third party companies. Companies and licenses not owned by EA. THAT is the obstacle to a toolset.
So... right argument, wrong specifics.

Hm, interesting. Even if EA owns both DICE and BW, I was under the impression that BioWare had to license the use of the engine and therefore couldn't necessarily release their builder tools for it. Whether that is the case or not, though, it makes sense that they couldn't release the tools if they aren't even made by BioWare or even by DICE.
In any case, sad day. I was a huge fan of the modding in DAO, it added immensely to my experience with the game. That said, if Fb3 is the reason BW can create a huge map and all the extra story bits that are being piled into this game, it is a sacrifice worth making. I'd never exchange mod tools for a worse game.

In this case I think it's EA being opposed to the idea of communities creating free content with their assets. Both RED engine and Creation engine use TP tech, I believe. Both are moddable.

This might be, although to be fair it is very speculative.
If it's true, though, I have to say that it doesn't make sense to me. I was always under the impression that modders were some of the biggest purchasers of DLC, even if only to have more resources to work with. By far most mods are things like re-textures of objects created by the developers, and even new armor models and such are often tweaks of existing ones.
