AI am looking ofrward to play Me 2 as I have enjoyed Me

but I have a one single question that I wanted to ask.

about the ME 1 save file

I read that if you do not have the save file you can just choose the outcome at some point of the game
and my question is if you do not transfer your save file do you still have control over all the events from ME 1?

For instance my ME 1 savefile I decided to let the council members die, but now I want to see the events that can happen if they survive in ME 1

I know I can just reload the save file and do this... but the problem is after I reinstalled ME I cant install Bring Down the SKy and it blocks me from loading my save file -_-

so I want to just make a new fresh character but the only different outcome i want is to make sure the council to survive as I think it will be more interesting that way/.

so have Bioware offically confirmed you can decide every outcome of the ME 1 with a new character or will you only be able to decide certain important things and they will decide the outcome of some less importatn stuff like the fan that bothers you in citadal

No. Unfortunately what you are asking if not possible. The default Shepard's back-story assumes taht the council died. It has been mentioned that some small things might be able to be altered, via in-game conversations.

However saving the council is not one of them.

ahh... that is disappointing.... and IMO Bioware made a bad choice than -_-

out of all the outcomes you can choose.. they dont give us a power to decide the fate of the council...

that is not cool

I think it's a good thing that they did this. What would be the point of playing ME1 if you could choose all the important choices without actually playing the game. There has to be some advantage to playing the first game and transferring a save file to the second one.

I cant agree on this one. the problem is if they do it this way if you are perfectionist you will have to replay ME 1 or reload it countless times and I dont think that is a good advantage at all

to tell you the truth if BIoware make it that way people will just post or ask savefiles from internet and I plan to ask people if this council thing is true.. whats the point of giving advantage this way?

Some people could have erased their save file for accident or whatever reason lost their save file and maybe is not in mood to replay the game and I think its too much disadvantage for ME 2 players this affects the stroyline and if they limit the stroyline you can enjoy via if you have payed for ME 1 and played it and saved your 5 different save files that have different outcome its not cool

That's unfair. <_<

Default start is for people that have not played ME1, giving them a ton of choices they have no relation to would be a bit bad for them.

Why don't you play a quick rush playthrough?

SPOILERS: It is entirely possible that the difference in ME2 will be mostly cosmetic, the teasers hint whatever you did with the council, politics do not change.

I am sorry but if you played ME and had the forsight to save your save files for future use you should gain some benefit. I am curently playing DAO and i am backing up the saves from all my completed games, it might be some time before the new game is out, but when it is i fully expect to have the difficulty with which i made the choices matter. It is sad that you and lots of other folks lost thier save files but ME was not that long, you should have some idea of what you want to do so blow through it real quick. I know that is not what you want to hear but it is all that can be offered i guess.

I came to ME late and only just finished a few runs, and i really only bought it because i needed a break from DAO and it was on sale from Steam for 5 bucks. I did not enjoy ME as much as i enjoyed DAO by comparison it lacked the polish that DAO had but the game was still good. I am looking foward to ME2 and have preordered it from Amazon and paid extra for release day delivery so i am getting excited. Looking foward to being WOWed by another Bioware game.

I am just disappointed because out of all the outcome bioware decided they make letting the council die the default for people without the save file and that is the ultimate renegadew choice and people who want to play as paragon gets the disadvantage and yes I can do a quick runthrough but that is not really what I want to do I only want a different outcome with the council with my unloadable save file becuase somehow BTS cannot be installed so I cannot reload the savefile and playing the game from the start is not what i want to do
