Think this is going to far?  :D

Wow. This is quite the change from the days after DA2 came out, when people were calling for him to be fired immediately.

The BSN are more inconsistent than hormones on a menstural cycle.

Dear Maker, that tactical view.

I was always going to get this game as I falll into the camp of DA2 not being a bad game, but no where near as good as Origins, and haven't gotten through ME3 yet, but now? I. AM. HYPE!

Graphically, looks BEAUTIFUL.
Would like to see what the UI looks like.
"Playable Qunari"... Dear God... It's everything I've ever wanted.

Looks beautiful, indeed. Keep in mind that this is still in pre-alpha.

One thing I took away from the footage is that I'll almost certainly be playing as a mage first. They were my least favorite in Origins because despite their power they felt so…mundane to play with visually. 2 made it my favorite class with the visual implementation of spell effects, and it looks even better in Inquisition.

That and it helps to know that mana/stamina does regenerate. Also, was it just me or did it seem to regenerate kind of quickly? Of course, even if it did, the spells at least seemed to cost quite a bit so they probably balance one another out.

I already have my standard tactic ready :D

First, make 2 ice walls that channel the enemies (E) toward the warrior (w), like so:
\\  E  /
 \\ E /
  w
Then, while the warrior tanks, one mage cuts off their retreat with glyphs, and the other uses that that meteor attack.
The rogue constantly throws dizzying bombs/bolts on enemies that attack the warrior.

Oh, this game'll be good :)

Loves:

1. Flexible low camera angles > total environmental immersion while exploring
2. Smooth cinematic connection between gameplay and cutscenes
3. Excellent cutscene design.
3. Companion banter and event/location specific commentary
4. The mystery of exploration is retained without quest guidance
5. Stunning levels
6. Explore animation changes depending on the terrain angles
7. Health is not automatically regenerated omg...
8. Conversations include optional line view! I get to think hard about the consequences of what my character is about to say! Big fat check on immersion, personal involvement and comprehension.
9. Make my own crazy weapons? !
10. Tactical camera/ pause....
11. Breaking things?! :D
12. Realistic animation speed in basic combat, while special moves/powers are believably faster and more extravagant.
13. Relationships!
14. Choices change what happens in the game.

I can't get over the potential. There's more  ...but I think you had me at hello.

Wow this looks amazing, and this confirms the PC will be fully voiced, that's quite a feet considering the options! So very excited. Of course this is coming from a guy who like Dragon Age 2, the only problem is truly had with that game was the repetitive level design.

Paraphrasing is in the game. That's awesome. I remember DG saying this wouldn't be in the game. Is Bioware breaking their back for us or what? It seems like features they didn't intend to have in the game keep on coming. This game is going to be amazing. I can feel it and I trust my instincts when it comes to games.

When is pre-orders going up? I'm pretty much sold already.

So you can zoom out, set some traps and so on.

Great but I still wonder how that's supposed to work with that action based gameplay. Other than a quick overview and moving the troops, I can't see it to work if you have to dodge stuff. Such a camera is nice but highly impractical if you need to react to certain attacks.

I don't see how it's complicated at all.  With Dragon Age 2, Bioware made it so your defense score wouldn't save you from special abilities.  I speculate that the dodge roll is their answer to this.

If ME3 combat proved anything, it's that AI can more reliably roll dodge attacks than the player can.  While fighting humanoid troops in ME3, using a projectile based ability against troops will typically cause them to roll dodge the attack completely.  If you can set up a tactic to something akin to:  Self: target of ranged/melee/magic attack ---> Evade/dodge roll, then I don't see a problem with it.  Zooming out to a tactical camera doesn't change the nature of the combat; it simply changes the angle you're looking at it.

The only issue that I'm concerned with is if you can roll dodge in multiple directions or if it's only possible to roll dodge in the direction you're facing.  I'd prefer the former.

Looks great. Especially like the return of the tactical view since now those consoles can finally support a larger view without choking itself to limbo and beyond.
