Since Xbox Live has converted points into real currency, I've calculated that I'll need to spend $50 to get the major DLC. Omega, Citadel, Ashes, Leviathan. That is literally $9 short of what the retail price costed! All that DLC better give LOADS to do if it's gonna come out to costing as much as the full-blown game.

Skip omega...it is trash and very short.

If you had to choose only one get Cit.

Agree about Omega. It's great if you love Aria, but it's not really an important DLC. I would suggest From Ashes for Javik and Citadel for fun times. The others you could just YT I suppose.

I read somewhere the Omega mission was supposed to be part of the main campaign, but it didn't get enough development time and was later released after the game launched? Never made sense to me why Aria had you recruit the three merc clans only for her to sit at Purgatory talking about usurped from Omega. Omega was the only redeeming world from ME2, sad it wasn't given a prominent role in the third game. But I'll take your warning into consideration.

Citadel and Ashes certainly give you more for your money then the other two. I enjoyed Levithan but besides the 2 new weapons and the handfull of weapons mods and war assest you can get all of the story from Youtube. Although it might just be me but I still enjoyed the story more after playing through it myself even though I watched it before I bought it.

Congratulations, you can add.

All games have content that is considered but ultimately didn't make the cut. So this idea that Omega was cut from the main game to sell as DLC is nonsense.

I would label Leviathan and Citadel as the "must-haves", although I know there are people out there that really didn't like Leviathan, I personally liked the whole mysteriousness of it all and the added crew interactions, as well as a few more dialogue options for the game ending.

As was said before, the trailer for Omega is way better than the actual content. It's grotesquely overpriced and feels really forced.

From Ashes adds probably my favourite new character in ME3 and gives a great new perspective on the Reaper War, but if your on a budget I'd recommend: Citadel, Leviathan, From Ashes, Omega.

NB: I bought Mass Effect day of release, brand new for £25 from Amazon, the fact the DLC total is around £32 is rather scandalous.

All the DLC are great in my opinion. Though if you're short on cash, I'd skip Omega too since it does not add that much concent story-wise. But it's great fun, me thinks.

That would be my opinion on it as well.
I've enjoyed Citadel and Leviathan the most - though Ashes is also a good DLC to have if you are interested in Prothean history and want a new badass companion.

Cut 15 dollars off just by not getting Omega. The content is not worth the price.

I bought every single piece of DLC as it was released; taken in small portions like that, I never felt as if I didn't get my money's worth. This even includes Omega, which I liked. Maybe that makes me strange, but more ME3 combat with a female Turian and Aria, not to mention a new weapon or two, was well worth my time and money.

Skip all the DLC, in the end if amounts to nothing and has no affect on any of your playthroughs.

It's a damn shame. 30$ for the DLC? I can understand. 50? The price of an all-new AAA game? Guys, get serious.

Since I'm a unknowingly completest, I like having all the DLC even if I'm not too fond with them. So I'd suggest them all for a maximum experience, but Citadel, Leviathan and From Ashes for sure. If you want to later you can pick up Omega, just my 2 cents.

As someone who hated the nonsensical ending.......but wants to play through the game again (finished it twice at release), having looked at the DLC the only interesting ones to me are From ashes (which i have from collectors ed) and Leviathan.

Omega by all reports is a rip off, and Citadel is a short main missions and then lots of fan pandering. Fine if you like that, but i'd rather they did more story.

Though with Rome 2 out tomorrow i may wait to see if the DLC ever comes on sale.
ALso please change the stupid bioware points into just cash instead. The "points" are just dumb.

Before now, when DLC was priced in Bioware/Microsoft/whatever points, you would have to calculate the total price whereas now you can just look at the prices.

All games have content that is considered but ultimately didn't make the cut. So this idea that Omega was cut from the main game to sell as DLC is nonsense.

Omega maybe but From Ashes? Any DLC that is on the bloody disk is going too far.

So I'd suggest them all for a maximum experience

That is a tautology: To have all the the DLC, you need to buy all the DLC. And yes, I think that anyone doing stuff in games for the sake of an achievement or buying stuff for the sake of 100% completion deserves to be mocked.
