Really? Steve? Dude's basically still wearing widow's weeds. Literally every conversation you have with him in his friendship path goes back to his dead husband. Who has only been dead for a year.
I dunno, it sorta seems like a romance with Steve is either gonna be rebound (if Steve initiates) or predatory (if Shepard initiates). Neither one of those is very romantic.
There is still an impressive amount of emotion in his conversations.

The rise and fall and how he's so loyal to you throughout all the games let me know I had a life long partner, he was a match for my Shepard and with that voice and those sharp shooting skills he was certainly one of the most attractive partners.
Besides all this it was bridging the gap between Turians & humans who are very similar save for the obvious, all the human romances were nice, but just didn't have the allure of an inter species relationship & having a few other females interested in him, not just me made it feel more realistic and show off this obvious, yea he's not just hot to me but to other ladies too and if I don't beat them back I could lose him.
But yes.. Vakarian all the way.

Just completed my first Jackmancer, the Citadel content is very, very good. From the playful horny banter during the arena fight to the touching tattoo scene before the party I felt Jack's personality really shined through. She's a riot during the party too.

Garrus' and Tali's romance felt more awkward to me because they always felt more like your best friend and little sister to me. They were well done to be sure but I just couldn't get out of that notion I have of them out of my head. Mainly this was due to them being in ME1 and you relationships with each character were established as a certain way. Other than that, I'd just rank them just below my top choices.
Thane's romance was pretty sad but expected and good in the way it was handled.
Kaidan and Ash I didn't really like because of how they behaved in ME2, and then their problems about you and Cerberus and their lack of belief towards you in ME3. I didn't like Kaidan a bisexual though. It kind of felt like they changed him from ME1 just so they can have another option for homosexual male characters.
Steve's romance was pretty good as well but to me it felt more like a rebound relationship than anything else since Steve was still hung up on his dead husband.
I didn't really care about Diana Allers, and her romance felt more like casual sex than actually getting into a relationship.
I didn't like the Jacob romance at all as it was handled poorly all throughout ME2 and with the way it turned out in ME3 in my opinion. He's a fine character as a friend and squadmate and it could've had potential but it was handled poorly.

I don't like asari. No one should like asari. After that there's Miranda, I hate her personality, Jack, I hate her personality, Tali, I hate her personality. Then here comes Liara knocking at my door again, asking me if I'm okay, not getting the picture from two years ago and keeping parts of my flesh smeared armor. I say I'm fine, but then she's like, "No there's more." Oh, Liara, at least you can distract the husks.
ahahahahahahah. Man you're awesome

Tali: Her romance reminds me a lot of a typical Japanese female LI. Her romance is very sweet and non-confrontation, generally. The odds seem to always against her, but she always tries her best when dealing with the situation. It makes my Shepard wants to support her every step of the way.
Liara: I think the most romance moment in the game with her is when you get low EMS during Earth Mission.

More and more I wish Joker were romance-able. To me, he and Shepard had the best relationship, and they cared about one another the most. I won't go into a "Joker in ME3" and "anti-EDI" rant though because that's all been said before.

Neither Garrus nor myShep roll that way, so he naturally ended up with Tali.
Was nice to be able to imagine them having some common background and interests besides getting shot at by the same people a lot.

As a FemShep, Garrus all the way.
But it would have been fun to have a romantic, Charr-style krogan to romance.
