Tali is one of, if not the most popular romance in the series.

You sure are fond of saying that.

Popularity is definitely not an indication of quality in my opinion. I don't care how popular Tali is, I'm utterly disgusted by her.

CoD is popular. I bet it has quality writing and gameplay.

I'd like Tali better if I didn't get flashbacks to high school. Been there, done that, would like to forget it.

I think the VS (ME2 fling optional) is probably the "privileged" romance, with Liara having an unrequited crush. Because, seriously, her romance makes no sense with an import.

What do you mean by "privileged"?

The one that seems to dovetail with the story most naturally, with a sense of progression, overcoming crisis, and a good bit of romance content. At least on import.

Are you arguing about romancing video game characters, that's creepy/stupid

I don't know. It flows naturally to me as long as I send her with Kirahe. Except, it makes more sense for me to send Kaidan. He's the alien loving Paragon. Kaidan fits in with the Salarian team better, and even though the mechanics allow you save Kirahe without saving Kaidan, I think it's fitting to save them all together, while Ash sets up the bomb. It feels really petty to sacrifice all of them for her sake. The line afterwards isn't a very good one.. "You know I couldn't leave you there.." or something.

I would never send Ash to set the bomb, when Kaiden is the tech expert of the two.

Like I said, it makes sense as long as you send her on that team - and that's one reason to do so.

But I don't think it's definite on how it would play out. It's just as likely Kaidan makes a better fit for the Salarian squad. Of course, you could also justify sending her there in hopes it'd do some good for her. Choices, choices...

In any case, I don't see the ME2 romances as "flings". They can easily be interpreted as being more developed and fulfilling than that.

Of course now that we are on the subject, I would probably not leave with such a small amount of people on such a critical mission.

Too bad they have cut alot of Kelly's content in ME3 (and included Traynor in place). The leaked script had some good parts in for Kelly Image IPB

I'm curious about that. Can you fill me in or tell me where I can find this content?

She tells you how she first met the Illusive Man, some insight on her background, what she did before Cerberus and how she joined Cerberus. There was a bit more romance content (and conflicts) as well. She could also rejoin the Normandy SR-2.

Thanks. Would have liked to see that.

I think the best way to think of romance is: who complements the story you are telling with Shepard? If I'm planning on making peace on Rannoch and choosing Synthesis, I'd probably romance Tali because those maskless quarians have extra resonance. A Thanemancer is going to die at the end. And so on.

Destroy ending also works well with the Talimance, mainly due to the heartbreaking scene where she beggs you to come back alive.  So its either kill the geth, or make Tali really really really sad.... *shoots the red tube*

Another reason I prefer her. She seems to be the only one to say something along those lines in the evac scene, all the others just seem to accept that hes not coming back.

One reason to stick with Tali is of course you get to see her face, even if badly executed. (Too bad you don't get to see Kasumi's (whole) face in the game though).

I found the Illusive Man dialogue, here...

Kelly:[Kelly seems distraught] Shepard.
It's good to see you.
Shepard: Is something bothering you,
Kelly?
K:No, not really. Well, I've been
questioning myself. I owe Cerberus a great deal. Was it right for me
to leave them?
S:Why do you think you owe Cerberus
anything?
K:It's a long story. Did you know I
actually met the Illusive Man face to face once? Few have. Before
Cerberus, I was a waitress on a luxury liner with a very exclusive
clientele.

I'm not sure if the Illusive Man was
there for business or pleasure. I just kept his drinks coming. "Bourbon. Three fingers. Neat." He had his pick of any working girl, but he took an interest in me, I suspect precisely because I wasn't for sale. We spoke for hours. It was obvious he wanted more than just good conversation. And I can't say I didn't want the same. He can be very seductive.
S:But you refused his advances?
K: I knew if I slept with him, I'd lose all his respect. I didn't want that to happen. I never saw him again
after that night, at least not in person.
S:Then how did you join Cerberus?
K: The management of the liner changed sometime later. Batarians took over. Things got really bad.
Some of the staff were beaten. Others just disappeared. None of us could leave. I don't know exactly why, but one day Cerberus boarded and cleaned the ship out. Killed every batarian. But they took care of the entertainers. Made sure we were all safe. Set us up with lodging until we got on our feet. I got a message from the Illusive Man. He'd pay for my college, and if I did well, I'd have a job waiting for me. So you see, I owe him my life, in more ways than
one.

No you see her entire face. You can't see her hair, but you can see everything else about her. Have you used all of the conversation options with her? Ask her about Keiji.

I guess they only pretend to care whether he lives or not, after all in the Arrival dlc not a single person bothers to investiagte when hes goes to see the reaper artifact and then they hear nothing from him for the next 2 days.

Random crew memeber: Maybe we should go see if the commanders in trouble we haven't heard from him in 2 days

Joker: Nah he'll be fine

Kind of funny that even if you romance someone on the Normandy no one seems to care that you disappeard

Glad they cut that out. Seems like more anti-Cerberus crap. You just know they'd probably try to turn it into an ulterior motive for TIM.

My Shepard thinks TIM did more to save the galaxy than the alliance or the council ever could.

Just romance Liara. You won't need any advice then.:wizard:

If they went down the ME2 DLC path where she is actually a bit resistant to the idea instead of jumping all over shepard given the chance that would been a better option <_<
