Don't you think? I hope we can go there. The place would look great in the new engine. I'd love to claim it in the name of the inquisition.

Would prefer new locations, rather than a nostalgic trip down memory lane.

I think when asked Laidlaw said they were focusing on new area's and he seemed pretty firm on that.

So I Dunno we might get to se some of the area's again but I doubt it will be many and it could well be none.

There is so much that we haven't seen this vast world that I think most peeps would rather have little to no back tracking to areas from previous games.

That's true, I suppose.

After nine DA:O playthroughs, I've had enough of Ostagar to last a lifetime.

It would certainly be an iconic stronghold to revisit, updated so not every goddamn tree in the distance is the same. I approve.

We've been there twice already so I'd prefer new locations.

We already had a return to Ostagar. There's a lot of Thedas we haven't yet seen I'd rather visit.

A revisit with its mournful theme would be nice homage. It always reminds me of meeting Wynne and Doggy for the first time.

I'd like to see Aeonar, which was twinned with Ostagar back on the days of the Imperium.

See, that's what I was thinking.

And Elfman, Aeonar being in game could be very possible. It might have been stormed by the mages... It would be interesting to see what's going on there now!

I don't know... it might make for a nice stronghold location for the Inquisition.

That said, I'd rather visit Highever. See how that place has changed over the years.

I've played DA:O 5 times. Four of those had Return to Ostagar. I've got one more playthrough in me yet. I've had a further three unfinished playthroughs.

I have seen or will see that damned fortress 14 times. 14 times. I do not want to go back.

I don't think we'll venture that far. Not really keen on going there again too.

Not gonna lie, I'd love to see Ostagar again.

A nostalgic walk on the bridge, looking at the forestry and mountains on both sides, then making our way actually into one of the most historic locations in Thedas?

I'm down for that. I'll never forget Duncan talking to us on the bridge, then leaving with Rabbit while we walked around the area.

Just being there again is enough.

As much as Ostagar would be fun to revisit, unless there's a major tear nearby I don't know why I'd bother returning to the fortress, there's not much reason to return there.

That said, if we're importing a Dalish save, would Ostagar be included as part of the Hinterlands given to the Dalish as a new homeland? Unless that went horribly south as hinted in DA2, it would be interesting to see a Dalish controlled Ostagar.

We already had Return to Ostagar dlc for DA:O. I doubt we will go back there again in DAI.

I would be curious to see/know the degree to which Ostagar, Lothering, and Denerim have been re-built. Too bad they don't have cameras....hopefully some mention will be made as to how these places are doing in terms of recovery.
I thought I heard that some locations in Ferelden were being included, and if so, not sure which locations.

It's been ten or so years, so Denerim might be alright again. Lothering would depend on if anyone went back to resettle the land, and Ostagar might have been such an embarassment and sore spot that maybe they let the Wilds reclaim it. xD

Except although Return to Ostagar was a wonderful addition, it made absolutely zero impact on the game afterwards, which for me, was soul-crushing. Yes, yes, I understand it came after the main game. But I'd rather have not done it, had I known that I could stride into the Landsmeet with Alistair wearing Cailan's armor and wielding Maric's sword and not a single soul notice. I played it once and will not do so again. So for me, returning to Ostagar would be more bitter. I'd rather explore new places. I am realllly hoping for some Orlais play. :)

Wasn't one of the choices the state of Cailan's body? I think I remember reading something in the CC in DA: 2. He either hung there, got cremated or thrown to the wolves. I always wondered why they made a big deal about it, other famous men died there and no mention of them, or their bodies.

If we could go back, that would be a reason, possession might become a fashion statement since the breach. Pure speculation on my part I'm sure.
