I'll live with it but I'm seeing this as yet another thing to make it be more "actiony" or whatever. Unless we dont know the whole picture, and the book thing is just for very spesific, big special spells

It looked pretty awesome. I have no complaints.
indeed! - i loved watching that (i just did for the first time)...hell, i love mages wielding books (makes them seem more knowledgable (hell, if there is tons of spells, then i would like a book, too (in RL)...i would only learn the most important ones by heart and look the others up before engaging certain foes (or even in combat, if i could move while reading (the floating book makes that possible))

Archers should have a book of archery with them as well, and a book about all sorts of foes to read it up during combat, to know where to shoot better.

Yep, because spells are exactly the same as released muscle energy.KainD wrote...

Almost the same, just using spiritual ''muscles''.

Wearing an amulet or ring to make them shoot better is A-OK though.

Eh? What biotic teleported? I recall the rest but not teleporting.
Slayer and Fury. Dashed through solid objects.
Is that DLC or MP? Because I don't recall those.

MP is pretty much the poster child for gameplay and fun trumping lore and logic. (not saying they can't coexist but lore tends to be thrown out of the window faster for MP than SP IMO).

Edit: The just staves was just in DA2, I know, but all other weapons in DA:O didn't help too much for mages unless you lower the mage potential or go AW.
