Locked Containers

Well, on this playthrough it seems as if the requirements have gone up. As I said my PC has Deft Hands IV and 27 cunning but there seems to be a few random chests that just won't open; specifically the one behind the bartender, two chests in the Tower of Magi, and one or two others located randomly in the world.
I've searched the Dragon Age Wiki for how high of cunning you need to beat the highest lock checks but have come up with nothing. It's not a huge deal by any means but it is somewhat annoying. Would hate to have to waste attribute points just to find out they won't be enough; granted I'm not sure I'd want to dump any more points into Cunning anyway.
Thoughts?

Currently on my 3rd full playthrough as a Rogue. The odd thing is that it seems as if I'm having more trouble picking locks on chests despite a high(?) cunning and Deft Hands IV. For example, the locked chest behind the bartender the Dennerim tavern ... in previous playthroughs I just had Leliana pick locks and I never really had her cunning that high - just enough to obtain Deft Hands IV.

Your rogue character as described will need 13 more points in Cunning to unlock all the chests in the game. You get 10 points for each level of Deft Hands added to Cunning minus 10. If mosspit remembered right his number is correct.
Check the thread on Rogue Mechanics for more details on the game's formula.
