For an elf who likely wants to prove his or her worth, this would be a very weird but welcome change. That after a lifetime of being sneered at, it would be both strange and thrilling that this tall, scary giant that views most non-giants with contempt finds value in you because s/he saw value to be had.

Plus, a big scary guy with a tiny girl, or vice-versa, kind of appeals to me on a personal level. (Like a cute bird on a rhino, they complement each other so well.)

And you'd better believe that the Qunari in question will stomp everyone into the ground who dares to insult their Elf.

Plus, can't you just imagine an Elf frolicking in the streets and their Qunari partner looking on fondly (albeit stoically)?

Yes! OMG, that would just be so adorable on so many levels!

I have such a soft spot for free spirits with more stoic souls, and no one does free spirit better than the elves or stoic better than the kossith / Qunari.

Somehow I just can't shake the image of a Qunari sitting stoically on the ground while a happy little elf puts a flowercrown on their head.

Heh, I'll admit you kind of lost me there. But! I can see the Qunari getting involved with activities he or she (yes, my fantasies work both ways for both genders) would normally find frivolous just because it makes the other happy. In fact, all this talk of the happy little elves frolicking about while the stoic Qunari looks fondly on reminds me a bit of Rapunzel and Flynn's dynamic, only WAY more stoic on the latter's part. xD

I imagine they wouldn't see eye-to-eye at first either. I imagine they'd have to do a lot of work to get form this:

I watched maybe 10 minutes of Tangled because I developed an instant and intense dislike for Flynn. Couldn't keep watching.
