I have just learned the " Force field " spell, the script states that the spell " erects a telekenetic barrier around the target who becomes imune to damage etc etc " I asumed that upon casting this spell, the game would then pause and allow me to select the target from the party character portraits on the top left of the screen ( as HEAL does ) unfortunately, it doesnt, it simply casts the spell at what or whoever you are tageting at the the time of casting, my question is a two part question

A/  How do I target myself with this spell ? I have tried rotating through available targets using the D pad but it wont let me select myself, nor will it let me select myself if I pause the game.

and

B/  WTF is the point of being able to cast this spell on the enemy ?? Ok It might buy you a few seconds if you are fighting a single powerfull enemy in order to drink potions etc but apart from that ??
