I also wouldn't mind seeing her in the new elf style.

Why? She didn't even have the DA2 elf style.

Yeah... that's the point.

I liked Tallis, the adventure and her character were quite refreshing.

Yeah she needs to be part of any qunari delegation that may show up! Would be cool.

Sure, but I would also be open to other companions. I say let Bioware do their thing. I'm hear to judge (and probably enjoy) the game AFTER its made.

Really do not need to see this character return, one mission with this **** was enough, and she isn't nearly as pretty or funny as Isabela.

No. If anything then only as a npc and I must have a option to envelope her in Crushing Prison.

I hated everything about Tallis, her voice was irritating as hell, her dialogue was all "Horrible things are going to happen but I can't tell you about it, please help!", and the whole DLC was subpar even by DLC standards. She was also a horrible companion mechanically, constantly jumping around to get killed, changing targets right before finishing the last one and not really contributing anything to the fight. I hated her so much that when she presented me with the option to abandon her, I had to force myself to think about all the loot and XP not to.

And the problem wasn't even that the character was irritating; she didn't even feel like a character from Dragon Age, and her whole personality was a mess. Hell, she felt more like a lousy fan fic character than a legitimate Bioware character!

So please, for the love of Andraste, don't bring her back. Please. I hate her.

I would never include or not include a character based on a petition, but the nay-sayers certainly do make it tempting.

Have I mentioned how much I totally hate Tallis and never want to see her ugly face ever again?

Only if we can thoroughly thwart her plans this time. Nobody likes to be manipulated, but to be manipulated for a qunari agenda with no opportunity to fight back with some modicum of success, that's really the last straw.

The entire DLC was bad. Hawke getting dumb the moment it started.
If someone shows up, killing everyone around me while winking and smiling then asks me to use my invitation to a party and help her, I'd turn my back and go home.
The way she was jumping on buildings/from buildings, she didn't need a piece of paper to get inside, all she had to do was jump over the walls at night.

Hawke was definitely made to look like an inferior character there, which has been my main complaint about the DLC. Her continuous attempts to justify and explain the qunari ways to Hawke regardless of whether or not he/she was interested in it, and her annoying attempts to pose as an intelligent being with her "words of wisdom" made her seem unnatural and intolerable.

She's the result of a character created by a fan, which instead of staying in some fanfiction got into the official storyline. Last thing I want to see is a fan using his/her own personality as a template, then adding to it to achieve that "fantasy perfection", even if it means undermining the rest of the characters in a storyline.

I would caution Bioware to keep these types of elements out of the franchise, I'd prefer there be no more corrosion of the lore. "Fans" such as this should restrict their fictions to their blogs or youtube channels.

I'm rather apathetic to the idea of Tallis showing up again. On the one hand, I think MotA was a HORRIBLE DLC that existed only to make Hawke look like an even bigger ****** then he already was because he couldn't even attempt to do things that make sense (even if those attempts end in failure, the attempt is what's important).

On the other hand, I don't hate Tallis. I don't love her either, despite having started the Tallis thread. She's... meh. I'll not label her a Mary Sue, but there was something about her that both made me like her and get annoyed by her at the same time. Perhaps Lob's aforementioned "no real way to debate the Qun with her" (paraphrase) played into it, as did a few of her.... phrases. They didn't really seem to go with the setting.

Which is odd, because Marcia from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn said similar things ("Crackers" being a phrase the two share) and I didn't mind.

There are other minor reasons that make me really... not keen on the idea. She's not a Mary Sue, but damn.... MotA didn't completely endear her to me. Not even halfway.

Also, Redemption was a horribly predictable web series with only one, maybe two good characters (Nyree certainly, Josmael maybe).

Felicia Day getting a vanity DLC over pretty much -anything- was irritating enough, especially with how good Legacy was. Think of the possibilities we might have had.

I really hope that this isn't the general attitude in BioWare.

I didn't like Tallis. I felt that she was very Mary-Sue like. And she was consistantly the spotlight character in her DLC, which.. Grated on my nerves. If a character shines in one section, let them shine. But for them to be the center of attention in all areas of a scene is just annoying. I didn't feel like there was any need for Hawke to be involved in her story at all. Tallis was so amazing at everything that she didn't need Hawke. It would've turned out the same without Hawke's involvement.

As a female gamer, I find that I either love or hate female npcs. I liked Leliana, Wynne, Morrigan, Isabela, Aveline, and Merill. And I hated Tallis, and disliked Velanna. To be fair, Velanna was a thoroughly unpleasant character to have around. She didn't like the Warden, or anyone else, and made it obvious. But she was more realistic. She had reason to hate humans, and distrust people in general. Tallis just wanted everyone to find her attractive and follow her way.

It was obvious that it was a vanity dlc for Felicia Day's super special character. It just left a bad impression behind, and caused me to dislike much of the things she's involved in.

If Bioware wants to include Tallis they will do so anyway.

I just hope they write her better, and tone down her more Mary Sueish abilities next time she appears. That'll solve a lot of problems fans have with her I would think (unless of course they dislike Tallis just because she's portrayed by Felicia Day)

I hated that character and the only decent thing about the DLC was the location and some small LI dialouge. Everything else sucked including Tallis...or especially Tallis. I couldn't wait to ditch her when given the chance only to end up stuck with her and her mess again. Heck I wouldn't had even helped her to begin with and no I do not care about her freaking Qun.

Something tells me it is. There seems to be some fan hate going on with BW so it wouldn't surprise me that they would include something based solely on the fans disapproval of it.

That woudn't be very smart from a business point of view.

My disapointment with DA2 and ME3 led me to decide to never preorder a game no matter what, but rather check for multiple relatively honest reviews before buying it.

More bad experiences might encourage me to seek entertainment elsewhere.

That said, so far DA:I looks good, and the fact that it was pushed back is encouraging, hopefully DA:I will be a change in a better direction.

I doubt that many people in EA or Bioware thought that the backlash after ME3 was hilarious.
At least not the financial implications.

Gaider was being sarcastic. Let's not read too much into it.

The only way this would be possible is if she had kidnapped a member of the Dragon Age teams children and was holding them hostage.
