Do want.
The game looks just amazing even just now. Can't wait to see it all finished and polished!
What is your current opinion of Dragon Age: Inquisition......

This. But I know it will plummet when EA/Bioware inevitably announce Day 1 DLC, IGN reporter/Felicia Day as NPC , multiplayer...

I was really looking forward to the game... and then... I read about how there's to be no health regeneration. Now I'm having doubts. Not happy to be honest, but I guess I'll wait and see.
I think I'll wait a few weeks until after the game's been released, and then read the user reviews, and see how much of a negative impact this is going to have on exploring the world, and enjoyment generally.
I can see how lack of health regen can be perceived as a good thing by those professional ultra-hardcore, ultra-competitive gamer types, with years of Counterstrike experience, who always play on the hardest difficulty, and spend hours pouring over spreadsheets, min/maxing their characters. These types of people thrive on difficulty and super-hard combat encounters. They have awesome twitch reflexes, and superb hand-eye coordination.
For boring, casual gamers such as myself though, this is possibly going to be a major enjoyment killer. I can envision how it might be (worst case scenario)... entering a cave... walking a few paces.. being ambushed by those 65-zillion poison spiders, limping onward, with party health down to around 25%, using up my last few precious health poultices.. only to encounter a second spider ambush around the corner.. and finally having to return to the entrance, trudge miles and miles back to town... scrape around for more poultices, praying that the merchants have them in stock... then hump it tediously back to the cave... more spiders..... back to town.... again.... and again........ad infinitum...... Turning what would have been a 20-minute experience in DA:O or DA:2 into a four-hour marathon slog of near-constant running back and forth.
Let's hope not.

But I don't want to play the game in such as way that foes die if I just look at them, I want at least some kind of balanced combat challenge. Playing on Normal is perfect for me.
What I wanted to avoid was a scenario of having to constantly run back and forth for miles between town and the wilderness in order to scrape health poultices together. It might not be like that, there may be other ways to keep your party together using Mages.. I simply don't know.. but I was expressing a worst case scenario.
One thing's for sure, I can see myself necessarily doing a great deal of save scumming.. literally saving before saking a step, and endlessly reloading until I win through in an acceptable manner.

My opinion based on information: Somewhat interested. Playable races is definitely a good starting point.
My opinion based on in-game footage: I'm not getting the 'Dragon Age vibe' at all.

Hopefully optimistic, but not getting swept up in the PR machine. No pre-order for me, will wait and see, after DA2 and ME3 it will take something really good to regain my trust and faith in Bioware EA.

I actually think that making other races playable (especially Elves and Qunari) is going to hinder story a lot.
It seems to me we will have a "Khorne Psyker fail" with this game.

Hmm, I have to agree with you there, not getting the vibe either.

Probably my most anticipated video game release at the moment.

I am certainly more excited than before the info-dump.
- No more group of plucky adventurers. Now, to cause world change, I have actual troops. Sure - I have close companions - but that's totally different.
- Keeps and hopefully a significant amount of Keep Maintenance. It all goes with the Plucky Group of Gypsies inherent in every story. Something like ME addresses the "life" of the group a handful of times - and then just throws that out for bombs and booty (both great - but not enough for my palate)
- The Mage/Templar war is NOT the focus. For this alone I'm going to buy the game.

I'm looking forward to it, with Bioware revealing race selection in addition to the Qunari and the PAX demo has me waiting for pre-order.

Cautious optimism. Currently, it's at the absolute best for me that a BW game can be: a used/bargain bin deal.

It looks promising, but I won't ever make the mistake again to put blind optimism in a BioWare product as BSN right now, screaming like little school girls over a few gameplay snippets.

I'm liking what I'm hearing so far, but then I liked what I heard about ME3 at first also.
Not willing to trust jsut yet.

A week ago, I would have said I could not get more over-excited about this game. Then they revealed playable Qunari and showed some game footage and discussed the lack of health regen.
So at this point, the main thing I am worried about is that they'll reveal something else I really want (Shale? The Fex? Zombie kittens?) and I'll have a joy-induced aneurysm a year before the game comes out.

I love everything I've seen so far. It's a definite buy, and I think I will enjoy it greatly, just as I enjoyed and loved both DA:O and DA2, and all games in the ME series. Bioware's games are always gold IMO, at least when it's a genre I like, like Mass Effect and Dragon Age.
