In recent BioWare games the PC has always had a fairly set age, like in ME Sheploo was around 30, while in DA2 Hawke was 25 at the beginning. Even in DA:O your character in most the Origins had to be fairly young, or it wouldn't make too much sense.

I never liked this, I usually like to play characters in their late 30s to early 40s, but I can't do this when people treat him like he's 20 something.

So how old will the DAI PC be? I'm guessing with a vaguer origin you'd have more options, but still, I don't want my middle aged Inquisitor called "kid" by anyone who isn't over 60.

I wouldn't mind an Inquisitor in their 40s. I can support a silver fox.. though I'll probably prefer a Femquisitor in her 30s.

that depends on if we have any family in game. if we do then we would have to look at how old they are and go from there. if not, assuming they don't directly address this in the game, then its entirely up to you. Honestly i would prefer for them to not bring it up if we don't have any family.

I expect he will be around 30's.

He is the master ruler of inquisition, I imagine it takes time to go up the ranks.

Where have you been where the foxes silver in their forties?

Anyway the things of it is, Bioware always writes their characters as 30 somethings. Thinking back on it, it strikes me as odd how much older Hawke sounds when their in a vague 20 something state for most of DAII.

So yeah let's have some 30s protagonists.

Well, fine we can push it to 50s? I just want that nice salt and pepper vibe going on haha. Edit: And now that I re-read, perhaps you are not familiar with the term? It's basically an attractive older man a la George Clooney or Sean Connery.

But, ideally, somewhere in the 30-40s so having such huge authority feels validated.

I hope for late 30s early 40s, but that probably isn't going to happen.

See when I read silver foxes my mind goes to 51 year old and completely white haired John Slattery, the foxiest of silvers.

i hope so - call me vain or something, but i don't like grizzled "old" character (older then myself - i can't much relate to them (note: i am mid-twenties myself))

i would love the inquisitor to be young, because IMHO it is much more impressive (and awe inspiring) if a powerfull person is quite young and still an effective power-player (and has risen to the top already)

Aw.  Youth.  I was mid twenties once myself.  And I also like to relate to my character.  I used to like teenage characters (back in the 90's).  Then I liked characters (much like you) in their 20's (back in the 00's).  Now I like characters in their 30's.  I've been gaming a very, very long time.
