Hell, I'm in my mid-twenties and I would like to see an Inquisitor option to play someone in their late forties. Mostly so I can tell horror stories to younger companions to weed out the cowardly from those who will be worth keeping around.
How old is the Inquisitor going to be?

I hope he sounds grizzled, I don't want a young-sounding leader of a world-wide organization.

This. Last thing I want is some spotty Starbux barista of an Inquisitor spreading his sorry-ass Bieber vibe all over my Thedas.

If i had to guess, he/she will be early 30s, if i could choose - mid 30's to early 40

It'd be nice if I could roleplay a veteran warrior in his 40s, but I highly doubt BioWare would ever allow for that. I get the impression they find adults icky.

Honestly, the age I'd like my Inquisitor to have totally depends on which race and gender I play.
Human female? Tend to roleplay her around 19-ish when I can. (It's the easiest to identify with.)
Human male? Early thirties, if my Warden is anything to go by. Though I could be convinced to roleplay an older male in his forties.
Female elf? Late twenties. (Since elves tend to look very delicate and young, I like to balance that out with being older and having some experience in the world.)
Male elf? Same as female elf.
Female dwarf? Young-ish.
Male dwarf? Mid-thirties.
Qunari lady/man? Can't really say. They always seem so serious, there might not be much difference between a twenty year old and a forty year old Qunari.

I always thought my Human Warden to be 19. Idk why, it just fit the character. Hawke is 24 at the beginning of Act 1 and 30/31 by the end of Act 3. I'm hoping the Inquisitor is fairly young, like 22 or so.

Somewhere between the 20ish to maximum like 33. MAXIMUM. And then the game better not span ten years.

The warden was very young. The mage and city elf in particular were in their late teens. The dalish elf also struck me as very young as well. The dwarves were older, but still mid-late twenties.

Mid-twenties or younger I'd suppose. It is such a shame they rushed DA:II, there was a ton of potential in the 10 year narrative but they just didn't even bother to change the terrain or age people up. Was there even a single kid that grew up in that whole game? You'd think they'd have done at least that much.

Inquisitor has to be old enough for it to be believable that (s)he is, you know, the inquisitor. Must have some knowledge, and experience to be able to lead such an organization. Maybe not Zaeed or Loghain old, but AT LEAST Shepard old.

I wouldn't mind an Inquisitor in

Femquisitor in her 30s.
Where have you been where the foxes silver in their forties?
Anyway the things of it is, Bioware always writes their characters as 30 somethings. Thinking back on it, it strikes me as odd how much older Hawke sounds when their in a vague 20 something state for most of DAII.
So yeah let's have some 30s protagonists.
*looks at her birth certificate that says she's 30. Looks in the mirror as she dyes her hair again*
You can go silver at 20 if under the right amount of stress of or genetics says so. Silver foxes need not be 60 years old!

I'll give you Merrill but Fenris? He's at least 30 something. He doesn't even look young.
I hope the Inq is early to mid twenties. Early 30s at the oldest. (older than that and I can't relate).

35-40, a head of the peacekeeper organization should not be younger than that.
Also, Hawke actually in between 30-35 as well in act 3.
