As far as I remember, yes. I'd rather our age not to be mentioned, so we could decide for yourselves. But then, pretty much all of BW's player characters start in their early/mid-twenties (Revan being the exception, but we don't really discover that until after half of the game.)

But yeah 20-25 is far more relatable for me, then 40. 
I'm 21, so I like to roleplay my male characters around my age.

Females can be a bit older, like how old Beyonce (32) is. Diva's tend to have more life-expierence. 
I would love to play as 'a completely above everyone' female Inquisitor who only thinks of personal gain and glory.

Mid 20's to early 30's, given you are already somewhat accomplished by the time the game starts.

Of course we are talking about the human inquisitor, and of course Bioware will never flat out state it, you can make them look as young or old as you want. (though the current voice actor seems to lend itself to a guy who's already seen some action)
