Female Qunari with the biggest, meanest horns I can find.
Who will then romance the tiniest, most delicate elf she can find.
She'll make a man out of you.
Which are you playing first: male Qunari or female Qunari?

He is a warrior and most of his moves act as such. (Granted the only dual wielding warrior in the entire game) He is no rogue.9TailsFox wrote...

I am a little sad that I probably won't be able to play as Qunari rogue due to their nature and size. I will be getting multiple copies of the game for multiple systems so going to play as a dual wielding warrior Qunari female because they look badass and hot.
Arishok is rogue.
Wrong. To the game's engine, the Arishok is a rogue.

(Unless I decide my female Qunari should be a warrior instead, in which case I'll play a male Qunari mage later. I'm planning to to make a male and female of each race eventually.)

Has any of the books/comics etc gone deeper into what the Qunari are like? I mean in the games we've really only seen they are very dry and prone to anger quickly. Do they have romantic relationships? Do they have a wide range of emotions or more like extremely limited emotions (like Spock from Star Trek)?
Just curious...

The Qunari are very machine-like when it comes to emotions, however that does'nt stop them from having emotional outbursts like Sten or the Arishok. They have no concept of romance except for breeding purposes.Lee80alabama wrote...

I see, so pretty much what I was already thinking. It really doesn't appeal to me at this point. Not to say I'll never play as one, but yeah not really my cup of tea.

It's not something inherently qunari, it's just a result of the way they are raised. The qunari race, before they converted to the qun, was supposedly called kossith and was a very "barbaric" (in lack of better words) race. They worshipped animalistic gods, and as far as we know felt emotions the same way as humans, elves or dwarves do. It's just that in the qun, the individual is considered a single drop of blood in the creature, and as such must always strive to serve the greater good instead of oneself.
Qunari still feel friendship, loyalty and love, but won't express it in the act of lovemaking. If it does happen, the involved will be turned into mindless labourers and "reeducated in the teachings of the qun". If a child is born from the act it'll be raised as any other qunari.
So as you see, it's not the people themselves, but rather their philosophy, that have shaped any and all qunari that we've so far met in the game. The character that we'll play will not be a follower of this philosophy, but we still don't know if we'll be a qunari who was raised completely outside of the qun or a tal-vashoth, a defector.
