I am a huge ME fan and am in the process of doing my prefect playthrough for ME2. I have done BDtS already but never done Pinnacle Station. My question is, should i do it? and how long will it take me to do it?

I was in the same boat as you a week ago. I did decide to purchase it though. It wasn't amazing but honestly it made me a better player all in all. I'm ready to DESTROY on insane for my final play through. I was content with the purchase and would recommend it. Hope that helps!

I remember reading some where they were lowering the prices of the DLC so you may just want to wait if they haven't already lowered them. If I were reviewing that DLC I'd say get it if your really into the combat of ME or just want more to do. I find it fun, but the real reason I ended up getting it was the chance that it could appear or effect ME2 in some way.

Minor SPOILER

Shepard gets an apartment so I was wondering if that would end up in ME2.

It's alright, nothing too special. It's good for xp if you're trying to reach lvl 60 for your character.

It's not worth it, and I don't think it transfers over to ME2

the reviews I've read describe it as combat only and no story, so I'm having a hard time justifying paying for it despite being something of an obsessive completionist

Bought it, played a couple of the simulators, never finished it, never went back. I should probably finish it at some point, but it seemed so dry and unimportant. "Hey Commander, I know you're busy saving people and doing Spectre stuff, but you want to play some virtual reality stuff?" Bring Down the Sky was awesome though and look forward to more of that.

It's only $2.50 on the XBL Marketplace now, there really isn't a reason not to get it unless you don't have a credit card or don't feel like buying a point card.

The first time I went through it I didn't really have any fun. It was more of a chore done for the achievements... and I'm one of those cases that actually really like ME combat. On the other hand, in my most recent playthrough as an Adept, on a higher difficulty than the first time through Pinnacle Station in fact, it went fast and smooth and I found it far more enjoyable, especially the Hunt missions.

It's boring, but it does go a long way towards reaching level 60 in two playthroughs.

I think I spent all of about 10 minutes on it. I'm sure it didn't help that this was after playing ME2, but either way, basing a DLC "mission" entirely around what is obviously the most flawed aspect of a game... it doesn't make a lot of sense.
