 Call me crazy but isn't there a connection between them.

• They're both highly intelligent darkspawn capable of resisting the hive mind ways of the others
• Both are powerful mages
• They both share similar disfigurement

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that both were magisters before entering the black city and becoming darkspawn. I'm hoping to see if they'll ever interact with each other in some future dlc or game.

I am not sure if their roles will be more than a cameo. There are so many carryover factors by now, that it seems hard to cover the whole basis.

ME franchise was very comprehensive in this regard but I think DA series have different circumstances.

But if they are deemed important to be delved into:

It is unclear if there is a rivalry between the adherents of different Old Gods. If the Architect served Uthemiel, could there be a rivalry going on with the Temple of Dumat?

It is unclear how many Old Gods will awaken in DAI. Zero? One? Both?
