I am probably over reacting here but I am after some answers to do with merging my gamertag with my EA profile and the Cerberus content. I want to get things sorted in some way before I get the game delivered (hopefully) on the 29th.

I have no EA published game on my 360 yet, most games I do own are 360 exclusive and published by Microsoft. I have different email addresses for my EA account and my Gamertag. I have an email address just for Microsoft stuff due to my history with them, attended XNA launch event. When my PSN was merged with my EA account, think it was with NFS Pro Street, I don't recall having to enter any details for my EA account. I want to have my Gamertag with my other EA personas. Will I be able to do this actually on my console with the Mass Effect 2 game or or will I need to go to the profile.ea.com website after using it once.

I'm only asking because no doubt I will need to merge them to get the Cerberus content and I don't feel like having to transfer personas between accounts again should they accidently be merged with my MS email. Was a pain the first time.

I do have another question - will the cerberus content be available for Silver users? Someone has said it is but I haven't found something said officially yet. I have Forza 3 VIP but it kinda sucks that you pay for extra content but then have to pay again to be able to get it. I only have gold now because I got a one month card late last year when my console was fixed.

Like my first words in this post, and indeed any official Mass Effect forums, I am probably only stressing over nothing really. I just want to get tensions out of the way for my most anticipated Q1 release. Already done so with recent trailers like the Normandy tour, 7 minute Sci vs Fi video and the polish one. Any answers will be appreciated.

Personally, I had no problems, but friends of mine had real issues when Dragon Age came out. Iirc that if you haven't had an EA account on your 360 then, with DA:O at least, you had to manually login in to the DA servers first time.

But as i said, this is second hand knowledge, i had no issues. Hopefully some helpful soul will be along with all the details.

Assuming the Cerberus network stuff works like the Dragon Age: Origins content you won;t need Xbox Live Gold, just Silver for it.

I am in the same boat as you; at least with the different email for my Live account than my EA account thing.

Is my Social Account (which is the same I used to buy DA content) the same as the mentioned EA account??

Because then I would have two different eMail adresses as well for Gamertag/EA Account.

Link told me the same as profile.ea.com. Can't connect, make sure you play at least one EA game on your profile before trying to merge.

Ah, sorry about that, thought it may be worth a shot. Can you not borrow/rent an EA XBL Live title off a friend to test it out?

I'm concerned about a similar issue. I played DOA on the PC, but ME2 will be on the 360. I know the devs said the Blood Dragon armor will transfer (somehow), but... yeah. We'll see.

Does Battlefield 1943 count?

I guess my first post can be summarised by a simple question . Will people be able to manually enter their EA account details the first time they play if the accounts are not merged? I could be autistic, and it kinda shows in my communication at times.

I was able to set up the EA account with Xbox Game Tag using Battlefield 1943.

Cost, 1200 points to buy the game.

Be very careful... If you have ever played any of the recent EA sports games, your 360 has cached data regarding some sort of EA acccount. I had a lot of problems when I bought DA:O because I had an EA profile from 5 years ago that I didn't have the password to. I ended up having to merge two accounts, which screwed up my DLC content to the point that I couldn't load any saved games from DA:O for 5 days until I finally got someone from EA support to reissue all of the DLC codes.

Also, for those that don't know, the account you use to access the bioware social site is nothing more than an EA account. If you have an existing EA account and used something different for this site, then you now have 2 EA accounts. Depending on how you register the game and which account your xbox360 uses, you may have problems.
