It's probably already reasonably locked down, so this is more of a fun thread. What three or four specializations would you like to have available for each class?
I'd like four specs, with two points available, DAO style.
Warrior
-Templar
-Reaver
-Beserker
-Spirit Warrior
Mage
-Blood Mage
-Spirit Healer
-Keeper
-Force Mage
(Shapeshifter and Arcane Warrior were too niche for my taste)
Rogue
-Assassin
-Bard
-Shadow
-Duelist
What specializations do you want to see?

you get one... but people may actually pay attention to that one, no more blood magic in front of templars without so much as a harsh word.
and hopeful it gets a bigger tree but that just my personally wish.
oh and I want reaver they rest I don't really care about

Bare-Fisted Monk. My Inquisitor needs no weapon, just her fists. >:I

I think some of the Rogue specializations need some changin'.
Duelist should focus on increasing effectiveness with a one-handed weapon in one hand and nothing in the other. Dual daggers with a Duelist was criminal.
I've always thought Ranger should give some Archery perks.

Yeah, I never really liked duelist because it was never really defined in game. But I remember reading somewhere that it's quite big in Orlesian circles, so there could be some serious expanding going on there.

From what I hear we get to choose 1. So no more cross blood/spirit etc.

Shapeshifter. Either Morrigan style (animals) or something different, like werebear or transforming a body part into some kinda weapon. Or like Final Fantasy summons where the shifted form appears only for a moment to use some powerful ability ('swallow whole' for example). I'll take anything with the name 'shapeshifter' tbh.

Arcane Warrior. Read: Mages that can use swords.

Some sort of more martial Mage for me as well. Arcane Warrior equivalent, but something new lore wise, so it's more interesting
Now that we have heavy armor for Mages, and Qunari, that are big and tough looking, i have to admit that the chance of a more melee capable Mage is becoming more and more possible.

Bring back arcane warrior already! Yes, I know you think the class was 'broken'. That can be changed. Yes, I know you want to say, 'lol, go roll a warrior nub' but, listen, counterpoint: SCREW YOU, BUDDY. Yeah.
Sword mages are super cool. Warrior Mage all the way!
Also: I'm all in for Spirit Warrior as well.

I like your list except I'd replace Force Mage with Arcane Warrior. I think all mages should have access to Force-based attacks, and Arcane Warrior would allow a mage to fulfill a vastly different role on the battlefield, so it's more unique.

Arcane warrior or at least some kind of melee weapon-focused mage specialization.
I want to stroll around with a sword at my hip damn it!

I would like to see something complete new. Like a dream specialization. (think of the power Fenriel has in DA2). Alter the reality around foes, and be able to scare even the demons in the fade. they have to be afraid of something right?
Or a spear specialization, learn and do something like the Spartans did. There are horses after all, so there will be countermeasures for them right? and if their not around, well, it's easy not getting hit if the enemy can't reach you.
Have to be massive spears though, given the size of the two handed weapons in the game-play video

Warrior
Brawler: Specializes in stamina regen and abilities that can either be upgraded to power or speed.
Fortress: Health regenerative abilities like devour plus either upgrading defense or armor abilities.
Beacon: Specializes in warfare and grants protective or attack enhancing buffs to him/herself and the party.
Rogue
Spy: Specializes in stealth and precision strikes.
Sniper: Specializes in dps and grants strong attacks.
Troubadour: Specializes in confusing enemies and crowd control.
Mage:
Magical Weaponry: Lets the mage transform his/her staff into a arcane weapon of upgradeable choice. Base skill gives a sword, upgrade can either be two handed weapon or daggers.
Blaster: The mage specializes in spellpower and gains elemental upgrades as well as light and darkness spells.
Aura: Specializes in buffs and debuffs gives several sustainable and passive abilities to upgrade party defense, healing and enemy debuffs.

I want a proper duelist (ie a fencer holding a rapier, sabre or scimitar not this dual dagger crap)

I would like to have Battle Mage back. I would say Keeper, but I would rather them just give us ore nature-based magic without specializing in it.

I would love to see a monk-like specialization that focuses on hand-to-hand combat and magic.

- shapeshifter (maybe redo it so you can choose what animals you turn into versus just spider-bear-swarm?)
- force mage (this was the most fun ive had with a mage in a game and it'd probably be amazing with da:i's combat and environment responsiveness)

Shapeshifter needs an overhaul, but I'd love to see it back.
I'd love to roll a Keeper, specially if we get to teleport ala Velanna.
And Force Mage was incredibly fun in DA2, I nearly always had it as my second spec.
