In the case of a phantom or logoons getting into melee range, the destroyer still wins, he doesn't stagger back into sync kill range, oh no, he keeps running away from the sync kill, unlike the default human soldier, or pretty much every other kit in the game, which staggers BACKWARDS INTO IT.

And I`ll give you this, you are right, the animation is completely unnecessary, know why? BECAUSE NOBODY IS STUPID ENOUGH TO EVER TURN IT OFF.

All of this is still besides the point though, because, you STILL HAVN`T EXPLAINED WHY YOU RANDOMLY SWITCH POSITIONS.

As for a "ace in the sleeve of a twitch reaction destroyer" lolwut? a REAL "twitch reaction Destroyer" will simply kill everything.

Yeah I know that. As I've said - HSols sustained DPS is not that high. But his speed and dodge and shield regen + DR will outsurvive stagger immunity.

Right Hand Advantage and not being retarded to your surroundings is all the survivability you need as a destroyer (with the occasional turn of DM and GTFO).

It's pointless to argue with you cos you're just dishing out personal attacks without even thinking.  

1 extra example tho. Suppose you're playing without Geth Scanner on a Destoyer. Suppose you turn a corner into a walking silent Banshee, you can't  turn around and run, she's too close for you to fiddle with DevMode Off button. All you can do is get grabbed. A good reaction HSol or GT will dodge.

A good reaction Destoyer without the DevMode OFF animation could do the same. Same for Turrets that camp that you haven't noticed immediately (between waves for example)

And your argument of NO ONE IS STUPID ENOUGH TO SWITCH IT OFF is bad and you should feel bad. No one switches it off cos it takes too long. If it was instant, the ammount of times people switch it off in a cool way to dodge or to simply increase their speed while running for a revive, objective or LZ would increase by a lot.

He will be more effective in total. And solos + people gameplay prove it. HSol with Typhoon can solo just as fast if not faster than a Destoyer.

Who's talking about the staggerlock in this situation? Lrn to read. And If I walk around a corner into a turret I can dodge, get scrapped and hurt by it but not killed. Destoyer will get mowed down. 

Also - you told me first to lrn2english (which is not my native language) so I responded how I responded.

The only animation that needs removing is Tech Armour detonation.

The N7 Destroyer and every kit with Tac Scan are more than fine right now and not in need of a buff. If you don't want to round a corner into death, I would suggest you bring the Geth Scanner so you can anticipate such things.

I may be wrong, but the point of Tac Scanning a minion / mook / meat shield, would be to get the AoE scan? Not really for any extra damage.

As for the animations, I feel Tac Scan could be shortened a bit. But it doesn't really bother me, how it is now.

No dodge characters just aren't as fun for me. Only one I like is the Jugg (unlike the Destroyer, he can take plenty of abuse). So I just don't play the Destroyer much. When I do play him, I don't toggle DM off/on except if I've got to deliver the package. Never understood why the stats showed him as the most played character? Couldn't be that many missile glitchers!

Tac scan I've not decided (sometimes I spec out of it entirely).

Some of it is missile glitchers, though a lot of it is that he's an incredibly powerful weapons user even without the ability to dodge.

Plus, immunity to stagger is a pretty good thing to have against the Geth.

I don't think Tac Scan really needs any improvement, but it would be a lot more fun if it were implemented differently. Besides, it doesn't stack up all that well against Recon Mine IMO.

Specifically I would keep the casting animation, but change rank six area scan so that it actually applies the scan to every target it in the radius.

This would probably require a balancing nerf of some sort. You could just increase the cooldown but long cooldown powers suck and this would barely affect the MQI while hurting the QMS and QME much more. So do something like switching the base debuff value (15%) with the rank six debuff (10%). So you'd get either a really good wallhack with a decent debuff (17.5% either weapon or power damage), or a really good debuff (32.5%).

Another option would be to change it so that the scan hops between targets when they die for the entire duration of the power like Dark Channel. I'd make this a rank 4 option; change the 7.5% debuff so it applies to weapon and power damage, and make the hop the second option.

Area Scan should keep pulsing and revealing targets around scanned target ever 2-3 seconds. So you Scan a Geth Prime and you see every Hunter and every enemy around him every 2-3 seconds for the whole duration of the power. Would've been extremely useful, but now LOL everyone can have a Geth Scanner.

I read the title of this thread and expected some joke about how OP Hunter mode is......I was very wrong.
OT: I don't think either of those powers really needs much in the way of adjustments - I almost never turn off Devestator mode and the animation for Tactical scan doesn't bother me.
