I'm hoping this time around, evil options tend towards brutal extremism rather than "lolevil" or chaotic stupid

Because for my first Inquisition playthrough, I intend to roleplay as a dangerously gloriously self-righteous lunatic hero motivated by his almost fanatical devotion to the God-Emperor The Pope The Maker, chiefly because Dragon Age 2 was so grimdark that I can no longer care about the Mage-Templar conflict on a moral level, and simply want to have some ****g fun with it, and no (fictional) Inquisition is complete without mass executions of so-called filthy heretics on flimsy charges, witch burnings (status of the accused as actual witches optional), and the complete and utter trampling of any semblance of human rights and deceny in the name of a religion whose God would be massively disappointed in proud of the atrocities His followers commit in His name!

But more seriously, I don't like Anders, but I was playing a dangerously deluded pro-mage frreedom mage in my DA2 I'm planning on importing, so he's still alive in that save, something which I'm hoping to correct in the most grimdark awesome way possible.

Edit: Changed the title so people stop missing the fact that the previous one was supposed to be taken as tongue and cheek, and isn't the place to seriously debate the ethics of the Circle System and the Templars and so on.

Join the Templars: Burn apostates at the stake before the timber runs out.

Having the ability to slay past characters would be ok. I'm no longer bound by family so I really want to strike at Carver with a sheild.

I honestly hope we can go to these extremes if we really want to. Personally I wouldn't but it would be awesome to hear about others going down those sorts of paths.

(DA's Pope is the Divine)

Maybe not, the world seems to blame Hawke for what happened at Kirkwall if you remember Cassandra's interrogation.

I certainly hope so. If they're serious about letting you pick sides in the mage/templar conflict, I want the option to go on mage hunts and bring especially dangerous apostates to justice.

Justice in the form of a stake and lots of fire, preferably.

Only if I get to chop off the head of every Templar I see including Cullen.

Though, Morrigan is vital to the story so you won't be killing her anytime soon. Also you can easily kill both Bethany and Anders in DA2.

By all means they should let you do that, as said above, it would be great if Inquisition's "evil" choices aren't the usual chaotic stupid/stupid evil options that most games with moral choice systems give, but the same kind of brutal extremism that got the world into its current state in the first place.

We should be able to burn witches/mages at the stake. Mass executions.

I would love to kill the Dalish. Killing everyone at that camp with Merrill was pretty awesome.

Look... another genocide thread. It took like... four hours for that to happen.

It's valid. No more tacofooting. No one leg on the outside with one on the inside.

Go all the way. Burn the witches.

But unlike the other threads, this one is 100% tongue and cheeck, and more of a statement expressing how I hope "evil" choices in this game tend more towards the same kind of brutal extremism (on both the pro- and anti- mage sides) that got the world to it's sad state in the first place rather than the "Chaotic Stupid" actions that tend to show up in games with moral choice systems.

My canon Andrastian Extermist Templar Hawke agrees.

I would like us to be allowed to roleplay a real fanatic this time (it's called the Inquisition after all), for that we should at least be allowed to try killing all apostates on sight.

Burning Anders on the stake would be even more satisfying than shooting Legion in his optics in ME3. I'm all for it.

The Inquisition for the win! Purge the heretics, kill mutants and burn the mages! Praise the God Emperor of Manki- euhm... I mean, HAIL THE MAKER!

I've never let Anders live in any of my DA2 playthroughs. Bastard deserved a knife in the back, after what he pulled.

That said, it'd be hilarious if Anders shows up in DA:I after Hawke spares him, only to be captured and tried by the Inquisitor and given the most horrifying punishment imaginable.

I don't think burning people at the stake would make much sense for a fanatical Andrastean, what with how Andraste ended up. It would give off the wrong associations.

I'm expecting every choice to range from petty dickishness to absurd evil for no rhyme or reason.
