I linked my copy of DA:O pre order edition and still do not see "the Edge" dagger available. Is this a bug? or did I simply miss a step?

I think the edge was given to everyone who registered the game before a certain time.

As far as I know you want get it if you registered later.

according to the website it is everyone who "purchased" the game prior to 11/30/2009.

Yes, purchased... and you proved that you purchased it by registering on this website before November 30th. Sorry, I think you're out of luck.
