I am too scrubby to have a legit opinion on this matter but I say fire from the hip. Makes controlling it a lot easier.

the accuracy is horendous, even in cover: without stability mods the gun becomes almost uncontrollabe.

(1) DON'T aim down sight.

(2) Get in closer or use Marksman/Hunter Mode.

lolno

ADSing increases accuracy so please learn the game before you open your mouth

Hey we all have to learn to play new weapons and kits - sucess is about adaptability rather than any experience with other kits/weapons. No need for any wounded pride from one person's observation; the hurricane takes some skill to adapt to, whereas the epic harrier needs frankly no skill at all. However the harrier is very heavy and has limited ammo, whereas the hurricane is very very light, a weapon of choice for many power classes and has great DPS. Each player has to learn to adapt to the recoil (this is why a l2play comment should not be regarded as a negative criticism but rather as advice - it's not a simple case of point and hold the fire button with this gun). It helps to either fire in regular bursts, regularly correcting your sim, getting used to constantly drag the mouse down (on PC) depending on range to target.
It is real hard to hit enemies consistently at very long range without a stability mod, this is no sniper or assault rifle. So at mid range you're best off squirting short bursts and readjusting your aim. Many power classes spend their time at very close range though - especially vanguards who spend their time right in front of enemies faces, and a short quirt in a mook's face from a hurricane spells the end for most mooks.
For most bosses (except praetorians) I run around them very closely in circles so their melee attacks miss,  firing constantly at their heads. As you're moving anyway then it becomes second nature to correct your recoil aim and you move your character. The aim may wander a little sometimes but this weapon fires so darn fast that a couple of stray shots aren't going to matter. For praetorians you can keep a few metres away, spray this little gun at their bellies and you'll see that health bar plummeting. It's a very powerful, fast and durable gun, just not an easy gun. :)

It's fine not to like it. I'm not too big a fan of the Hurricane myself. Too much recoil/spread for my liking. Oddly enough, I'm in love with the BPP.

The accuracy isnt hoorendous its recoil is horrendous. :)
The Hurricane is more accurate than the Harrier but it needs either a Turian or stability mods to really shine.

I don't see how people have a problem with the recoil.

1. Start firing
2. Drag aim downwards
3. ???
4. Profit

The Hurricane is every bit as good against bosses as it's cracked up to be.  The recoil and inaccuracy are meaningless against bosses because they are such big targets.

The Hurricane does leave something to be desired against mooks though.  It murders at close range, but at mid-range, half your shots aren't hitting, and a lot of people burst fire, which decreases your DPS a lot.  You actually might end up doing better DPS at mid-range with something like a GPR or a Locust, where you can take advantage of accurate headshots.

This in a hatbox is the answer to your question there OP. Yeah, its got a horrendous recoil if you try emptying the clip straight off and you won't be getting any gold medals for headshots with it, but seriously, were you expecting to?

It takes practice with the recoil, in the end you either love it or hate it. Personally I happen to love it as it chews through bosses like water :D

How is it? A friend of mine got the BPP and immediately ran to do a Platinum run with it. I fell over laughing as he pulled his hair out while he couldn't figure out why he was having so many problems running it on a Vorcha Sentinel.

It's better to take a stability mod and have the more arrogant BSN'rs mock you than to not take it and miss half your shots.

This. There is nothing wrong with using a stability mod on the hurricane if that's how you want to roll, regardless of what anyone on here may say.

Stability mod is a decent choice for quarksmen with hurricanes.

It depends on what you use the Hurricane for. As a boss-killer or for CQC, you can hip-fire the Hurricane to control the recoil. The trade-off is accuracy which should not be that big an issue for bosses (which are big targets) or CQC. For longer range, you can learn to control the recoil but it is easier to just use the SMG stability mod (+ heat-sink). AP ammo is a must. For kits with a passive stability bonus, you can skip the SMG stability mod and just use Stability III.

The Hurricane works best with heat-sink + extended mag + AP ammo but heat-sink + SMG stability + AP ammo works almost as well.

Learn to counter aim the recoil, in other words l2p.

Stability mod on the Hurricane is a wasted mod slot due to the player being bad.

I told you to look at my manifest so you could see I'm not some new stupid player who can't even handle the Harrier.

Ive ran into "best of the best" players with a good manifest, that need to learn how to play.  Manifest only an indicator they might know game mechanics, and how to play.

As for Hurricane,  potential damage is tremendous, I actually prefer it to the Reegar.

Stability mods and consumables only effect the upwards recoil.
Accuracy (typically kit skills) effect the spread of bullets.

The hurricane suffers from poor stability, and up/down recoil can be compensated by player ability.
Guns with poor accuracy cannot be compensated for, all you can do is take kits to compensate.
Hence Ugh Cold's "learn to play" comment.  No need to be defensive:   this is BSN where people are very dismissive, and brisk with their feedback.

Not stability on the weapon silly, the armor consumable. Is there even a stability mod for smg's? I can't remeber ever using anything except heatsink, ap barrel and extended clip....

I only use it with Stability Mod. Can't handle the recoil. I am a noob, despite nearing 3k games a having a maxed manifest.
All in all, it is one of my favorite weapons and it has served most - if not all kits for me at some point. And obviously, GI Hurricane > All.
