Ok so we know the party members only have wear their default outfit and another one which you unlock after gaining their loyalty. I was wondering if there are any pics of their alternatives yet? The only one I know is this picture of Miranda's 2nd costume: i139.photobucket.com/albums/q310/lincer556/MESquad.jpg

So, because Miranda begins to trust Shepard, she decides it's safe to wear a black version of her suit? <sigh> am I overthinking things again?

Would you let someone you didn't trust pick your clothes for you? :P

There's an alternate for Subject Zero where she wears a blue plated chest piece of armor. I forgot what video I saw it in though, I'm sure somebody will bring the vid up or take a pic of it.

Oh yeah, just remembered, it's shown in her Fight for the Lost trailer! Image IPB

OP... that very pic shows you other alt costumes. garrus and jacob; well, garrus is certainly in his alt. , jacob might be in default, but it looks different, from that blurry distant view anyway.

Well I don't know for sure, but if you watch the Samara video, she is wearing a black outfit on the introduction page, but as you know she wears red every other time we see her.

I'm really hoping there's more than just the two, especially since that Miranda version just looks recolored. And since their "costumes" aren't upgradable there better be some pretty significant bonuses to research on the ship as running with a level 20 team mate with minimal armor/shield/tech/biotic protection would be lame...

Where is this pic from? Obviosly nothing official since they're still trying to deny Garrus being a squaddie.

It's from a polish gaming video highlighting some combat and a side mission, it's officially in game stuff.

For the record, by official I meant released by Bioware.

You won't get anything out of bioware, but seeing as the vid is taken from straight out of the game, believing anything else would be stupid.

It is in game footage, so unless they stole the game, the content is pretty official.

I havent been following ME2. But seriously they ditched NPC's ability to wear various armors? That really sucks. I love decking out my characters in new gear and seeing their appearnce change through out the game as you advance. Are they stuck holding the same model of gun aswell? Really disapointed to here this. :(

Samara's reveal shows an alternate black-gold suit. Looks really slick.

Garrus' alt looks like his old C-Sec Agent armor. Cool! I hope they have lots of alternate outfits, but I'd settle for 3 or 4. It would be nice if they had say, around 10, because that would make up for the no squad armor thing.

I still wonder how they'll handle your squadmates going into hostile environments like vacuums and high pressure areas. Will their costumes change to accomodate? We've seen Miranda wearing a facemask, but that won't protect her against super high/cold temperatures or pressures.

I guess we'll find out in a few days huh!

I totally agree, they would need to have a few different costumes simply because of the different enviroments and situations they would find themselves in, I seriously hope there is at least one or more armour versions of each characters costumes.

However that being said I can see the advantages of sending Subject Zero out into the vacuum of space without a protective suit and oxygen tank Image IPB.

Well I suppose you would be even more dissapointed to hear that Shepard will only have the option to equip 2 different armour sets in the standard edition of ME2.

However I myself actually like this idea considering that there are a lot of customization options for the N7 armour allowing us to put our own unique touch to the armour.

Plus those of us who pre-ordered the CE of ME2 plus have the CE of Dragon age will get 3 extra sets of armour as well.

Wow. Miranda looks hot in black. On a side note: Chuck was one tonight.

wha?! you assume because there is only 2 non-preorder armors on the wevsite that theyre the only ones in the game?

necrofiend, ignore this guy. he was an uninformed troll on the old forums to. we dont know how many alt outfits our squaddies have, but yes, it is disappointing noetheless. we can change their weapons same as we change sheps though; there is also evidence that some teammates get unique weapons only for them though. on the plus side, there seems to be a great deal of awesome customization options for sheps armor.

All of the possible alt costumes we've seen so far look to be nothing more than texture swaps. I hope there are some that go beyond that. That is of course providing that there are more than two for each. Most of the possibles seem to give them darker outfits, except for Tali. If you look at her in the scene when Shepard first comes across her her wrap seems to be gray, but in most of the pics of her it's purple. All in all what we've seen so far is somewhat underwhelming.

I'm taking this alt outfit stuff as confirmation that squadmates can not wear armor.

You know, that's really going to make me feel like a **** running around decked out in full armor with a helmet, when I'm followed by two women kicking ass without it.
