The news isn't good. The hip attachment points don't even show up in the Effects Editor (although there are three Mount attachment points!). Obviously things haven't been updated since NWN. I tried attaching a dagger model to the pelvis, but it wouldn't let me offset it to either side. Plus the dagger model points upwards. This wouldn't be a problem with the hip attachment points, since they point downward and rotate their accessory models in the right direction.

I attempted to attach models to those armour accessory nodes that *do* show up in the Effects Editor (bracers, collars, etc). They didn't show up in the preview, but I thought maybe they'd show up in-game. Applying those effects to NPCs caused the game to crash while trying to load the area. Doh!

I can successfully attach upward-pointing daggers to the ears though. Why anyone would want to do that is a mystery. Although maybe putting a helmet on an NPC, and having daggers stuck to either side like horns, might make for a good eccentric gnome inventor character. It's certainly no worse than Grobnar's idea of a spring-mounted codpiece.

Argh. That's not good. Means my real-world-looking armors will have to be dm-generated only.
