Anders, Isabela, and Wynne, I welcome anyone else so long as the cameo makes sense.

Just curious, what is wrong with "super granny" Wynne ?

I don't want to see a lot of them return, as I want to see them continue their stories where they were, left in a good place unneeding of another protagonist to lead them by their hand.

But I would especially dislike seeing Oghren another time. After Awakening, I want to see him responsible and not joining my party. I want to go to Amaranthine and find my Keep still standing with a gaggle of Grey Wardens hanging out. That's what I want. But I don't want them as companions.

DAO: Oghren, for being a a walking dwarf cliché
DAA: Oghren, because he ruined Mhairi's death
DA2: Fenris, don't particulary dislike it, but Hawke was already a 2H warrior...

I hate Anders with burning passion, but he's already dead, so he won't return

If I never see Leliana again, it will be too soon. Alas, she is confirmed in DAI, so there's at least one turd on the lawn, figuratively speaking. Then again, I could see her as a possible antagonist at some point, maybe a minor boss fight.

Tallis, too. The concept was OK. An elven qunari experiencing a crisis of faith is definitely a decent idea. But the implementation was poor - too much speshul, too much stomping on the rest of the party, and too much "best at everything" to make her endearing - and that may have soured me to the character for good. Even if they did "fix" the problems by bringing her into balance with the other companions and letting her lose a banter every once in a while, it would probably feel like too little, too late.

Ironically, Leliana has already been announced for DA:I (nice girl and liked her in DA:O, but I've grown bored of her)

Where? So far I've only seen it be an (admittedly safe) assumption.

There was a note that "fans' favourite knight captain and red-head are coming back" in GI DA:I's issue.

Was it a quote? Game Informer had an issue with editorializing and making assumptions there. Like when they mentioned Morrigan seeking out other Wardens.

I've never liked Wynne personally, she's tries to convince my warden to break up with Alistair, and gets pretty nasty when you dont. Then if you take her to ostagar she's all flirty with him (jokingly of course) but I find it inappropriate with my warden right there after what she said not to mention she's all buttkissy to Alistair in banter with I think you make her happy. Just rubs me the wrong way.

edit...oh yeah so Wynne I wouldnt want to see back even if it possible, Leliana and Bethany.

I forgot about Tallis. I'd be happy to never see her again, for sure.

Ah yhea, i forgot the banters. But isn't Alistair that started it by teasing her, and Wynne playng along to make him regret his tease by making him incomfortable ?

She's a good character but I just can't stand all her lecturing.

Edit: Also in case your wondering she dies in Asunder so even if she lives in your playthrough she could very well be dead.

Probably but I still would love the option to throw her on the pyre with Cailan :)

Found it just a moment ago, it seemed more like speculation than anything else, my bad.

We saw evidence suggesting that a certain red-haired Orlesian and a fan-favourite knight-captain could be poised for a comeback.

I cared nothing for Wynne. Neither good nor bad.
Sten I didn't really like or hate either. But He could still have a good story as the new arishok. So I guess he can return.
Ohgren rather annoyed me with his bourishness. But was at least sometimes funny.
Other characters were ok.

in DAII, I just couldn't care for Tallis or Fenris. All the other characters I loved or loved to hate :D

Tallis, Tallis, Tallis, Tallis, Tallis, Tallis, Tallis, Tallis, Tallis, Tallis, Tallis and finally Tallis.

I'd even take the non-character that was Sebastian (I'm surprised I remembered he even existed) over Tallis.

People seem to really dislike Tallis. As someone who has not played Mark of the Assassin, is there a particular reason? Aside from the ghastly attempt to face morph the actress.

Characters I hope don't return:

DAO: Leliana (too late, I know)
DAA: Velanna
DA2: Tallis

My opinions are just that - my opinion. I don't expect everyone (or anyone) to agree with me.

I agree with these, and am going to add Merrill and Anders.

I'm thinking its probably that reason exactly or that Felicia Day was even included, but I liked her.
