Nope.  DA2 was a good game, I don't care about MMO's, and I learned long ago (from KOTOR 2) to not expect good endings from RPG's.  So all these things people have been so emotional about concerning Bioware as of late don't bother me the slightest.

Hilarious to hear gamers talking about "trust", etc. sounding like scorned lovers.

I greatly enjoyed DA2 despite whatever flaws it had (gameplay wise I like it more than DA:O). Aside from the ending, I consider ME3 to be the best game in the trilogy, and still enjoy playing SWTOR.

I'm looking forward to DA:I and am very happy with what's been revealed so far.

There isn't ever really a 'last chance' for me, I'll always buy a good game. BUT, I will remove a company from my 'Will pre order from' list, which is what I did after DA2. I didn't pre order ME3, I mostly broke down and bought it after release because I wanted to Finish Shepard's story.

But if DA:I isn't recommended by friends or received well I won't purchase it. Then I'll just wait and do the same thing with the next Bioware game. I guess the brand loyalty is gone is the best way to put it.

No. Bioware has never disappointed me. Just because certain parts could be done better doesn't mean that DA2 and ME3 were bad games. It's only because Bioware has raised the bar so high and has made us like their stories so much that fans complain about things that would go by unnoticed in other games.

With many people either being disappointed by SWTOR, DA2 or ME3, I'm just curious how many feel that this is Bioware's last chance to produce a "must buy", a pre-order or limited edition purchase from them. Or is Dragon Age the only series you play? Oooor is DA2 (or those other games, but DA2 is more relevant to DAI) wasn't a disappointment to you at all? This really isn't a thread to bash or praise Bioware, I just want to get a sense of where the fanbase is. 'Cause curiousity and all that.

I like Da2, DAO, SWKoTor( single player)
my dissapointment with da2 was:

1)could have had a better ending
2)NOT able to kill Sebastian for leaving hawke in the middle of a war.
3) the strongest and worst feeling was Bioware not continuing with hawke.
I was so pissed when they stoped hawke story...
Right now I am trying to forgive but, the ****s is.... I cant forget.

So to answer is No, because even if I stop playing their  games from time to time, I know i'll play them again sooner or later.

I played Mass effect series once and because the way it ended  was enought for me not to pick that serie ever again.

Depends. Never anything wrong with the past Bioware games, the ending wasn't that bad, and they fixed it. I'm only hoping they pay attention to PC fans as much as consoles.

I don't know.

That's the only answer I have at this time.

Nope. While DA2 had flaws, I still enjoyed it.
Also, even though ME and DA series are both produced by Bioware, they have different teams. It's a little odd that people assume things will be bad because Casey Hud..., I mean the Mass Effect team, liked their ending. xDD
That said, I still liked ME3, so there isn't too much of a worry for me.

I suspect 90% of the people who claim DA:I is BioWare's last chance will hang around the message board even if they end up hating the game.

Yeah pretty much. I won't be preordering like I did with the last few, but if word of mouth on DA:I ends up being really good, I'll buy Day 1. But the days of blind preordering from Bioware are pretty much over for me, no matter how good the game looks. I remember ME3 looked jaw droppingly amazing during it's production, and then it ended up being the 2nd most disappointing thing in my life. The 1st being diagnosed with a disease known as Colitis, just to put things in perspective.

But with that said, I don't think Bioware is stupid. They made stupid mistake these past couple years sure, but overall I know they're not dumb. They know full well how much they've lost trust and respect from a lot of players. They were pretty much a laughing stock in the game industry from late 2011 til mid 2012. That's why I truly believe that they want to knock this game outta the park. I can tell just by looking at the game, the way they talk about it, the longer development time, and how they've listened and implemented input from the fans into the game. I'm sure Bioware is working hard day and night to make this their "comeback" game.

So while I won't be pre ordering it, I'll be rooting for them and hoping this game ends up being great.

I was disappointed in Star Wars: The Old Republic, Dragon Age 2, and Mass Effect 3. Their last chance would have already been passed.

However, when I decide to stop buying new Bioware games it will be because of Electronic Arts, business practices not Bioware's.

Definitely not. While I really don't like DA 2 very much, I'm pretty happy with the rest of their games. I've been a big fan of theirs since Baldur's Gate and, while I'm not thrilled with all of their decisions in the most recent games (ME 3 multiplayer, DA 2 and ME 2 becoming action RPGs), I'm going to stick with them because I do think that they are the best at developing amazing RPG stories.

Despite having significant issues with certain specific parts of DAII and ME3, as well my disagreement with some of EA's business practices, the answer to OP's question, in all honesty, is No.

I'll be done with BioWare only when (if) they stop making *party-based* RPGs, with full-blown, fully fleshed out characters that can be recruited as party members.

Well, I'll put it to you this way. If the DA team Can't make that 9 or 10/10 game with almost 4 years development time, then yeah I'd seriously doubt their competence as world class game designers & developers.
The last "Great" game they made was DA:O imo. Mass Effect was always overrated/ questionably designed & THOR was nice story coupled with a poor MMO.
They were not given a chance to make a great game with DA2 (thanks EA) But they now have that chance with DAI (Again, thanks EA ;P)
What they have said and shown about DAI so far is all really good but this time they REALLY have to put their game where their PR mouth is.

They're yet to put out a game that I've found bad yet, so no. They'd have to have a longer string of far worse failures to get me to give up on them.

With DA:2, the game was rushed. However, I still put a lot of hours into that game, enjoyed the quests and companion stories and had plenty of fun. An unfortunate dip in Bioware's standard, but by no means a bad game.

With TOR, I was an early adopter. Jumped in day one. Now, it was very barebones as far as endgame and from what I've heard that hasn't got any better. But the story missions are all excellent like little mini campaigns in their own right that I definitely enjoyed playing (and plan on going back!). More than worth the money even if I'm not going to be raiding every Saturday night there. Again, disappointing, but still plenty of fun in that game.

Now, ME3, my opinion's nothing new. The rest of the game was absolutely excellent. The ending ruined it. It's because of that I haven't even touched any of the DLC, when I would have bought it sight unseen in ME2. The Tali photoshop and needing to play MP for the breathe ending were also ****ty. But as angry as I was, I still had a ton of fun the rest of the game. The Conrad questline alone was a culmination of my obsessive completionist bull**** cresting into a hilarious conclusion. Worth the 60 bucks, MP was even fun for a bit, still not a bad game.

^This, absolutely spot on, my sentiments exactly.
