There will never be a "last chance" scenario. I would never deny myself playing a good game because of stubbornness.

But Bioware do make it hard with the blip in overall quality, they have had post 2010.

No.
I liked DAO, I didn't mind DAII, I liked all of the Mass Effect games.
Every game that I bought made by Bioware I have liked.
Where there some things that I didn't like, yes. But that happens in just about every entertainment media , be it books, movies, TV programs, and video games.

I'm not so obsessed with Bioware that I must either buy all of their products or cut them out of my life forever. I'll buy the ones that look interesting to me, and pass on the ones that don't.

There's only a few things they could do that would make me stop purchasing their products period, and most of them have nothing to do with actual content of the product in question.

Still don't understand "last chance" thing. If a game is by all accounts a good game why would you not buy it even after release? Stopping pre-ordering I can see, but swearing off all future games I can't.

I played every Bioware game up to DA2, and before DA2 the only game that I disliked and didn't even find enjoyable to play was sonic chronicles. But DA2 was such a low point in their games for me it put Bioware on a case by case basis status. I ended not buying SW:TOR because it didn't seem worth my money, and I didn't even pre-order ME3 as much as I wanted to finish Shepard's story.

So now DA:I is a new case, won't be a pre-order or day one buy, but I'll make a choice after it's out.

Wow, I was expecting to see a lot of yeses. So glad people are saying no. Bioware is a great company, yes they have made a few mistakes but they have learned from them. Loved KOTOR, all the ME games, DAO (on PC, hated it on Xbox) and DA2 (didn't love it but still liked it).

I agree with this. Things that would make me scorn one of BW's games isn't the quality of the game so much, but if they turn their backs on the things that I have come to admire them over. "Day 1 DLC" or whatnot is really small fry compared to their openmindedness to their non-hetero fans, etc.

Nope. I've enjoyed pretty much every Bioware game since Baldur's Gate, including ME3 and DA2. I may have enjoyed some more than others, but they've all been solid games.

Also, what does "last chance" really mean? That you will boycott them? Or do we all personally have to give them "a chance" for them to want to develop games in the future?

For the most part, I liked ME3. The end felt a bit rushed, as we all know, but overall it was a good game. Dragon Age 2 was okay; good story and characters but it lacked that sense of exploration that RPGs need.

So to answer the question, I still think Bioware is above average even if I have a few nits to pick with some of their more recent released. And if DA:I is only as good as DA:2, then it's still something I'd find to be worth playing.

I have enjoyed all the games from Bioware - certainly prefered some more than others. They have ranged from good to great. So my answer is ofcourse not!

Not sure how many other game producers have created 7 or 8 perfect games in a row...anyone know?

Last chance? Why would their best looking game be their last chance? I'm not only ready for DAI, I'm ready for the expansion pack and ME4. Can you imagine if they put as much work into ME4 as they put into DAI? Can you imagine? I've got a pocket full of chances all with Bioware's name on it.

They lose a lot of cred on the WiiU though.

I've enjoyed all of their recent games (except I haven't played Mass Effect 3 yet) so why should DAI be the last straw? Nah I will probably pre order.

No. Even if their last few games have had some rather annoying setbacks, in the end, it's their stories and their characters that make me want to come back for more, if they lose that wonderful magic that makes their tales and characters come to life, then yes. It will be a heartbreaking day when that happens, but unlike most people who start threads like this, I'll get over it.

Hell no. I have yet to be disappointed, and Inquisition definitely seems like it's keeping up that trend.

With many people either being disappointed by SWTOR, DA2 or ME3, I'm just curious how many feel that this is Bioware's last chance to produce a "must buy", a pre-order or limited edition purchase from them. Or is Dragon Age the only series you play? Oooor is DA2 (or those other games, but DA2 is more relevant to DAI) wasn't a disappointment to you at all? This really isn't a thread to bash or praise Bioware, I just want to get a sense of where the fanbase is. 'Cause curiousity and all that.

it annoys me to no end but even their less then stellar games are still some of my favorites and I did get 6 complete playthrues from DA2 I liked and 3 from ME3 although that ending.....  I am however a more cautious and informed consumer and I am willing to wait for a good deal rather then rushing out and purchasing new shouting aaaa Bioware I luvs you!

I want it cheap and I will wait.  Thats not how it used to be for me.  But ME3 happened and its where I stand.

Oh yeah totally because bioware made a game that i dont like so shame on them So now they owe me The epitome of a perfect game.... No, but seriously it's not "biowares last chance blah blah" for me. To me biowares originality when it comes so companions and some other things is why I buy their games. People really don't know everything that happens during development. We all know EA held a tight Leash when it came to the last couple games, but while EA may not have changed they know that most of the bioware fan base feels like this. (Bioware last chance dilemma)

You kidding? ME 3 felt kinda thin and, yeah, the ending wasn't good, but it was a good game. SWToR is fine. Not excelent, not ground breaking, not innovative, it's fine. If I could afford a subscription I'd do it, just to play all the storylines at least once, but I'm a broke college student, so no.

DA2 was... kinda disapointing. The characters were good and the combat was very reactive, but the game was extremely rushed and it was very short, one of the things that hurted the most was the lack of descriptions on items. It's odd for Bioware to deliver such a rushed and thin game, so I know where the blame lies.

I expect DA:I to be a real AAA new generation RPG. Right now, after the hype has cooled down a bit, I can see some points that could have some improvement, but the core is fine.
