I'm hoping for a Qunari that was born outside of the Qun, otherwise I would severely have to limit myself RP wise, I think. Even Tal'Vashoth accept their status as a role, they're not truly free, right? And I don't really see any words on the Qunlat entry in the wiki that really appeal to me as names.
I'll most likely give my Qunari PCs Turkish names, since the Qunari seem to be somewhat modeled after the Ottman Empire.
Even if we'll be a deservter of the Qun, the PC's physical appearance will be enough to link them back to that life, giving themselves a name in the Qunari language just seems like another link they wouldn't really want, imo (especially since they have power over that particular decision).
Although I doubt the PC will have ever been a part of the Qun, this makes me think that, hypotheticaly, a Tal-Vashoth would use words of the common language to name her/himself the way the Qunari use theirs. Due to her/his culture it would be more meaningful to call her/himsel Mercenary, Merchant or, hypotheticaly, Inquisitor. It would also be a way of rebeling against the Qun to reject the term Tal-Vashoth.
True. I'm torn. F*ck.
You have over a year to decide where you stand. Don't worry.
Oh I know. :-).
Kata is a pretty badass name though....
If it doesn't fit the Inquisitor for whatever reason, there is always the possibility of using it for a short fanfiction or something.
Just a suggestion.
Fanfic's not really my thing. I'll probably just use it in the game.
