I was thinking something along the lines of moded clothing to make em look more modern not just reskining armors. For examplePosted Image something like might I be able to render it as an in game armor using toolset?

You'd need to make an armour model in an external 3d tool, which could be used in the toolset as the basis for an item. I'm no expert, but I understand that rigid armour and clothing are easier than flowing robes.

I'm no expert either, but you are probably correct there.   Making new armours/clothing is, however, quite complicated - just like making new creatures.

I really, really recommend that anyone who wants to do some DA modeling starts with simpler things like weapons, buildings or non-animated placeables.
